Superb must have accessory for the ps3, for PC gamers, and FPS freaks!

So people admit that playing a FPS with a gamepad sucks, yet diss this company for bringing out an alternative

With this accessory I might even start looking at PS3 FPS games, I don't want to play RFOM for 50 hours with a gamepad before I can hit something.

Or perhaps just wake up one day and realise that games are just a bit of fun entertainment and not to be taken seriously?
Who cares honestly?
How about using a bigger monitor? or a HD display vs a SD one? or that they have a 5.1 surround system and the competition dont?
Don't see any difference in them, they all enhance your setup over the minimum entry level. A level playing field just doesn't exist at all and its just that some people dont like the idea that they will no longer be super good anymore. That's my take on it anyhow.

I would use it for the PS3 but quite honestly I love playing FPS games on the 360 controller, however on the PS3 I find them to be quite awkward when aiming at smaller targets.

hmm am i the only one actually wondering what "IS" the difference in gaming between a great keyboard/mouse fps player and a good gamepad fps player? i mean surely you cant say its worse till there in the same match or something.
Quake 3 PC vs Dreamcast.

Average PC users completely and utterly thrashed the best DC users. The mouse allows quicker AND more precise aiming, if you think logically there is absolutely no competition between the two unless you seriously restrict the mouse players to the point that using a joypad would be easier.

this is so stupid

"omg im rubbish with pad i need keyboard and mouse" like most people saying that are at a high standard with a k&m no offence but I doubt your the next fatal1ty or t0xic.

Joypad is a challenge, gaming is a challenge. Accept it or admit defeat.

I'd have to dismiss that straight off.

You want the best most comfortable gear for whatever it is you do. If I go out to buy a new tennis racquet tomorrow, I don't buy a £20 jobby, I buy a pro racquet, because it's light, comfy, got plenty of control and pop. And I don't care what my opponent is using - I'm not interested in leveling the playing field, far from it. I want equipment that brings out the best skill in me, could't care less what the opponents are using.

Consoles should be coming with mice systems as standard. We've been saying that for years.

Who's been saying that for years?
It's a console, not a PC. You put a mouse with it and you have to play at a desk. That's not what console gaming is about.

Do you get skins in games like CSS that make your opponent bright pink so they are easily seen? It's the same brand of 2cheating" that you describe.

I vehemently disagree with this peripheral. One of the main plus points of console gaming is being able to lean back on the sofa and play against people you know are using the same equipment as you.

Bring in KBM arrangements suddenly you have two tiers of players and also you slowly push the console out of the living room and onto the computer desk.

I don't think anyone is attacking or criticising the company because it seems to be a well made and damn good controller.
What people are objecting to is the difference it will make in online multiplayer games where the vast majority are using controllers. As Kreeeee (copy and pasted for correct amount of e's ;)) has pointed out, the difference between avg joe pc and good DC user using a control pad was huge in Quake 3.
Im all for this controller type as long as games can pick up that it comes under a kb/m setup and rooms are able to be controller only, mixed or kb/m only.

As for SD, HDTV and Surround Sound and so on, the advantage, while its does exist is miniscule in comparison when compared to going from joypad to kb/m in a FPS game. Your kidding yourself on if you think otherwise.

its all about by how much though, your not going to be significantly disadvantage against someone with 5.1 surround sound are you

I'd have no issue at all with it if there were separate games for kbm and joypad users. That way kbm wouldn't have to be crippled.

I think people need to wake up and admit they aint as good as gaming as they all thought. And the comments at "PC gamers for years would love it"
Im sure they would, but PC gamers have PC's. I played online since I was around 14, now 22. Use to be in top clans, in tournaments and leagues yet I was never as good as some, and not because they had a different keyboard or mouse but because they was better players.

You can either use a joypad or you cant, a level playground seperates those who can and those who cant. Im sure people would thrash me at forza, but I aint gonna go buy a racing seat and wheel in an attempt to be faster ill just admit I aint as good as I thought :p

Adding such things to consoles means they are no longer a console and the universal bond between players is lost.

I bet if this was out on the 360, the 360 owners wouldnt be saying "OMF!1G!!!1!11 its POS, it makes you better at the game!!!"

:p

/prepares the fire resistant jacket

Lol, I remember the same debate well before the PS3 was out and the consensus was exactly the same.

What? That makes no sense?

I think he did actually. He was saying if the kits was for 360, many owners (not fanboys mind you) would say it is a good thing, even though it might not be.

Oh he also have his antiflame suit on just incase people come all guns blazing.
