Supplements the debate/discussion thread

Monster is £39.99 quid a tub and the other two dont stock it.

Cheapest retailer via google seems to be £34.99, Cheapest on Ebay is around the same..

so two tubs at £55 delivered / £27.50 a tub, thats a good saving on what seems like a good product.

ended up ordering this, will be the first time ever i have used an all in one type supplement, not lifted in a while my body needed the rest, hoping to get back into it tomorrow.

will see how it goes. think your supposed to take this 1 hour before training and immediately after for best results.

also with monster the more you buy the more you save so 2 tubs is £37.27 each but you also get a free blender shaker with each tub, so equates to roughly £35 a tub.

certainly a good deal by holland and barret, the first one ive ever seen from them, the date is good on the tubs which arrived too, so no idea why they done this, unless nobody has been buying it and they have tons in stock they need to shift, their normal price is insane £54.99 a tub compared with monsters £35 a tub.

Take 2 servings of synergy-ISO-7 daily. Use 1 serving 60-90 minutes prior to a workout ,with the second serving either immediately after the workout to assist repair and replenishment, or at anytime other time during the day. On non-training days, simply use 2 servings throughout the day, 1 serving in the morning and the second serving during the evening.

im going to take 2 on training days and 1 on non training days, that means a tub will only last me 10 days, it is very poor value for money buying these all in one type deals, just done it to try this out, see if i can notice the benefits of all the additional stuff.

Yes, Superpump Max or nothing for me. I tried Superpump 250 and it didn't do anything for me other than a good pump, energy wise, it's lack of caffeine lets it down

Superpump Max stacked with Sizeon is the best combination ever by the way, these last few weeks taking it has been brilliant, such a good pump, you feel huge!

sizeon is expensive mate, i know someone else who uses it, is it honestly any good?

i just got some synergy iso7 by phd (2 x 2kg tubs for £55 the holland and barret deal) which is basically the same thing.

It's brilliant, it's the only creatine supplement that's ever worked for me, has lots of aminos in it, and is a great intra supplement, £32 tub will last you a month so it's not that bad

meh, i'll miss it out, i already have creapure by ON and green magnitude and the phd all in 1.

maybe try it out in a year or two.

I think I'll give it a miss as I'm currently a bit poor, also still have a tub of Jack3d to go through (only use ~1 scoop normally). Got a sample of BPI 1.M.R to try too :p

Missing out guys :(

Actually been looking to give creatine a whirl, AGAIN. I can just never remember to take the damn stuff as I use it so seldom. So you recommend Sizeon heh? How and when do you take it?

sizeon is used intraworkout (during your workout)

i recommend green magnitude or pure german micronized creatine also known as creapure, make sure its german though, otherwise it will be the cheap chinese stuff which is no good.

I've been using Scimx omni hardcore for the last week and a half and I've gained a few pounds. The stuff works immensely with me. Price wise is steep but my gains are good. I'll get a pic up next week when I'm back at pc. I'm a very hardgainer but this stuff works.

All in ones are expensive but when you realise the calories, vitamins, creatine etc in them it works out decent value. Under 2 quid for a 500+ calorie shake with everything added is convenient to me.

as a brand name they aren't regarded very highly, it's also a UK company selling just to the UK market, therefore its a rather small company.

i would trust gaspari over them tbh, nothing against british companies or them being small, but the most famous one is maximuscle, and we all know how much of a con they are.

take a look at the iso synergy deal on at holland and barret, someone posted it earlier in the thread, about 20-30 posts back

I've noticed my knees/elbows etc are feeling the stress of the gym a bit now that I've been going for a few weeks.

Can anyone suggest something worth taking for them? I also think I need more fish oils as I don't eat a lot of fish (although I am trying to eat more).

I'm sure I saw someone (Tank, I think) post a good all-round supp tablet to take but can't find the post.

orange triad is what your looking for as an all rounder vitamins and joint stuff.

opti men is best all round vitamin.

for the joints specifically, omega 3-6-9, cod liver oil or fish oil. there is also cissus (expensive) and glucusomaine.

also in most exercises you never ever lock out, you go to just before you lock out and reverse the motion, by locking out your stressing your joints and taking all the resistance away from the muscle, therefore bad for building muscle/strength and stresses your joints.

Not always, the squeeze that can be achieved at the top of many reps can help to stimulate hypertrophy, its entirely dependent on the movement.
