Mitotropin, a week in use
Mitotropin is a fat burner, and is taken for 30 days. It's supposed to be 30 days before a contest or before you finish the diet. It's got rave reviews from some amateur bodybuilders and forum users. I decided to give it a punt
So I've been taking this the past week. By no means did I ever buy it to perform miracles, I never expected it to do anything special, but as I'm competing, any help I can get I'll take
You take 6 tablets a day, 3 in the morning 30 minutes before food, and 3 6-8 hours later. I'm currently taking 3 before my hour cardio in the morning, around 6:30 then have my food straight after that, and the next lot I take at 1pm right before my workouts. These are big pills, and they stink, kind of smells like paint
Now taking them is where the fun starts. In the morning on an empty stomach, for the first couple of days, I felt like I was going to puke. A horrible feeling of nausea, but energy shoots up, and you feel, well mentally you feel great. They really do give you a boost both to your energy and your mood. It's quite a bizarre thing to do, improving your mood, no other caffeine supplement or energy booster has done this. And the best thing is, a week into it I no longer get the nausea, well ever so slightly, but I still get the energy and mood lifting just as intensely.
There's no crash and the energy remains there throughout the day. Now again, this was an issue the first two days as I barely had any sleep and was up all night. But my body soon adapted and I was back to sleeping like a baby
These last few days I have felt slightly warmer, not uncomfortable and not bothering me but it is noticeable. The only other side effect I've noticed is I'm suffering with really bad head rushes if I get up after being sat down or led down for a while, not a bad effect if I'm honest, feels kind of cool haha but never got this before
As for what it's intended to do, this week I have lost 1.4kg. Which is my highest for a while and very impressive for 8 weeks out. How much of that is down to Mitotropin remains to be seen but so far I'm positive and would recommend it.
Pros:
- Great and constant energy levels throughout the day
- Mood lifting benefits
- Seems to be working
- No crashes
Cons:
- Dodgy first two 'bedding in' days
- They are big pills which can be an issue for people
