It was goooood
Finished the other half when I got in.For the record, I'm not a supp hater. When lifting proper metal I use them when breaks at work just don't allow enough time to prep and eat properly. I also take fish oils regularly (now

I know how you feel mate. Ignorance is bliss for a lot of people it seems :/ LOL @ "it works" comments*sigh*
) is it still worth taking on those days too? They do help, I've seen quite a few stories of people going from a very high body fat % to less than 10% and lots of muscle. One guy even put on about 2kg of muscle in 4-6 weeks.
The question you have to ask is whether they are 1) healthy and 2) sustainable. Great if you look better but what if you can't lift as much as somebody lighter than you!
Dedicating to weights, cardio, gym, sports, etc is a big step and anyone deserves respect that keeps it up for years, this is the far more rewarding and healthier route.

If you are going to take supplements, at least train 3 times a week and don't take steds!

ok, i have to say something to that.
they work because they are extra kcal which we all know you need to eat more to grow.
they dont work any better than normal food.
yes, people can lose a lot of weight on shakes only, like the V diet, we know this.
I do not believe for one second that someone put on 2kg of muscle in 4 weeks or 6 weeks, i would like to see the breakdown of the body makeup before and after that period of time.
most people dont care about how much you can lift. you cannot look at someone and say they lift more than someone else. the 2 things are not tied in.
however, you can say that if someone gets bigger they will be lifting more than previously.

Of lean muscle mass? No they didn't. Unless they were genetic super freaks.
Legal supplimentation will never, ever create sudden spurts and gains that are not maintainable unless nutrition is poor initially.
What's unhealthy about ingesting additional protein and possibly carbhohydrate, unless liquid protein intake was high enough to stress the kidneys (which is difficult to achieve, and then there's milkthisle to consider e.t.c)
Regardless, why does what you lift, especially compared to others, matter in the slightest? There is a prevalent belief (that perhaps you yourself hold) that they are some miracle cure, or a good substitute for well thought out, and adequate diet. This is simply not the case.
Couldn't agree more! Healthy eating and good training are one of the most rewarding aspects of my life! Theres been a fair few people posting about starting out in fitness in SA, and I salute them all.
Supplimentation, for me, is about filling in the gaps that time, lifestyle or wallet simply cannot achieve. They are the icing on the cake, not the spongey, goey filling

PS. Now I want cake![]()

They havent done anything that normal food could not have done. which is the whole point that is being made here.

Of course! I was just pointing out supplements do work, but not in the long term nor are they healthy over the long term!
Define what you mean by "work"? If you mean they work in terms of providing your body with extra nutrition then yes I'd agree with that. If you mean it for any other reasons then please expand![]()

Must say, the cissus 50% stuff I got after the recommendations from Freefaller and the like is AMAZING !
Last September I got a really painful rotator cuff injury - was bench pressing and some random guy as opposed to my friend was spotting me on this occasion and he really made me bust out the last rep which I near enough failed on and the pain it left me in meant I could no longer bench properly or do standing db curls and so on.. i.e. the injury had not recovered months later...
Ordered the cissus from myprotein, generally taking 2 in the morning and 1 at night and within a week there is no pain at all in the injury!!! Unbelievable, just don't want to come off the stuff now![]()
