support for the british worker

your muddling multi points there, obviously I am not referring to the same person.

depends on what level of skill you are talking about what do you class as a skilled job?
some people are only suited to manual work as they just dont have the IQ to attain a high level of education, but thus does not make them any less useful to the country. we cannot have country full of bankers, scientists and professionals

Yeah urm this thread really needs to be closed for pretty simple idiocy, protectionism, blaming other nationalities and using this pretty small argument as a big reason to bring back to the table legal racisim just isnt good in any respect.

As far as im away the contract for the Italian workers was signed 6 months ago, when there was a shortage of local labour for the specific job....

And as for blaming the EU/globalisation, i honistly think that this utterly ridiculous! Britains biggist mistake in the post war period was not joining in with the EU project in the 50's, shown by econmic collaps in the 70's.....

Anyway kudos to anyone who can honistly see that trying to be all nationalist to get out of this crysis is a flawed idea.

show me where it tells you it was signed 6 months ago.

just watch our fellow 'eu' members do just that and lock out british workers from their jobs. Its always the same Us brits try to play by the rules whilst the others do want they want while laughing at us british for doing the right thing.
Look how we are charged so much more than other member states for gas its all imported from the same place, just as usual our core services are owned by a foreign companys who see us as an easty target for revenue.

What useless goons, go on strike, they will just bring in foreign workers that won't!

I struggle to understand why they strike, don't like it? LEAVE!

leave? have you not noticed we are in a recession there are no jobs about

go back to your studies time you finish uni it should be over !

That's the point though LEAVE and allow someone else to fill in the position that will work according to the availible conditions, if no one comes forward, the employer will need a rethink.

Also do you really think that giving into their demands will help anyone in the long term? They need a good kicking to show them who's boss.

some people acutally need jobs to support themselves and their families and leaving isn't an option. There are a lot of very scared people out there who just don't like what they are seeing happening in the british labour market. the working man has been kicked in the teeth for too long and abused by the sham that is temp agencies I know some people where i work have be there for 6+ years as a temp, lower wage (8k per annum less) no pension no sick pay less holiday the real level of unemployment is a lot higher these so called agencies have grown out of what was a true temp service to the wholesale exploitation of vast numbers of people who want/deserve proper full time employment.

So its my fault then? I've lost track of how many agencies I've liaised with. If my experience and qualifications are actually irrelevant for their client, why do they call me up in the first place? I don't understand this logic. A blue chip company can't afford a proper HR department?

no its just that all they want is cheap labour

They are whining about the Italians taking the jobs etc etc. Total Fina Elf whining about loosing $ a day during the protests. Solution the 40% workforce that is currently down get some more wap's over :)

Job done

??????

I pity this country with people like you living in it.
