*** Supreme Commander 2 ***

I had a great game where I only built buildings (and 3 engineers) and won. I used the upgrade that gives research labs and energy sites a ground and air turret. By constantly building research labs towards the enemies base, I was able to get all the tech for buildings and ACU, as well as have a great defense. I eventually got shields and artillary, as well as the upgrade to make power plants heal other units, so by then, it was research lab, power plant, shield, art and repeat. I found it was awesome killing a Megalith with a research lab XD

The biggest thing that I don't like is the fact that I can't just queue up a load of units and stick it on infinite repeat. I can't build more than I have resources for - annoying, but I guess it makes it easier for noobs.

must admit i havent really run into this problem..if you stick your factories on infinite repeat it'll just pause construction if there arent enough resources for the set..just unpause yourself once you have enough or have expanded economy..

It's true though, the economy setup is nothing like and imho nowhere near as good/interesting/variable as SupCom's was..
(saves on cpu cycles though this way i suppose?)

man i keep playing this game, out of shall we say 'loyalty' to the legacy, the legacy of TA and the original. im sticking with all my original points, but i think i thought of a word that describes it better. supreme commander 2 has no grandure, no occasion, bloody shame :( the maker of the best RTS game in recent years has surrendered to the mainstream. what a ******* tragedy!

I'm quite enjoying this game, the only problem I have is anti-air is so crap... I sent ~150 ADV Adaptors to take on ~200 broadswords and they got completely ripped apart, it wasn't even funny.

There was about 100 broadswords left by the times that fight was over and the then came over and ate my ACU for desert :(

At least your sole flaming Megaliff didn't get converted by an army of enemy engineers then :p

There is a campaign level where you land in an industrial complex that is overrun by crazy engineers who are out of control and will capture/convert anything in sight.

So I built my first Megaliff and dumped him on the front lines with a load of defence turrets...and then went to prepare some NOMS. I know the level well (so I thought) so one Megaliff can handle pesky engineers easy whilst I'm afk! I returned only to find my entire base+acu gone and a sole enemy Megaliff trampling around.

I thought experimentals weren't captureable! :(

I built point defenses like crazy (maybe 20-30) it was enough to handle the engineers. In the mean time i build 30 destoyers and they cleaned out the right side of the map.

Then i built about 14-15 Megaliff's and stomped. Works a treat, i have to admit through, that was one of the tougher maps to make progress on, only the last map was equal to that.

That engineers map was crazy lol, I researched all the dmg for my ACU then put him between my base and them. Any that got past got smashed by my 5-6 point defence turrents. He level'd up nice and quick that map ^^.

After my defense was sorted just did the good old megaliff spam, slow work making loads of those with the small amount of mass you get :P.

What's your favourite experimental?

I really love the launch animation of the UEF Flying Fortress thing :)

The Cybranosaurus is awesome too :) anyone know how it fairs 1v1 against the collosus/king kryptor?

The only experimental currently worth its mass is the Bomb Bouncer.

I personally hate the Cybranosaurus, it is the weakest of the high powered experimental's due to its poor range.

You can literally skirt it with tanks until it is dead and against the King Kryptor it does not fair well due to range again.

The best method for Cybran experimental's is to drop them in the centre of the enemy base in the experimental transport. Apart from that build Battleships and Destroyers they are by far the Cybrans best weapon

Haven't played with the bomb bouncer yet, I do like the unit magnet though, put it next to anything you don't want air-raped :D new tactic vs gunship spam :)

played for 32 hours and it still hasnt given me the "time cruncher" achievement :(..bah, -continues-..could be amusing not to get that :D who needs completeness after all..

For me it has always been the The Colossus in both SC1 and SC2. I have always felt more comfortable playing the Aeon anyways, not sure why

It's just walking death, i usually build 12 or so

I do hope they add a sick experimental/experimental research tab at some point.

I like that I can mass churn Megaliths but I still want something that is a near unstoppable force :)

-Tougher experimentals
-Better structure defences AA/PD
-Bigger maps

Those would be my main three things I want :) especially the last one.

SC2 is not that bad, but not as good as the originals.. currently playing my way through the single player campaign missions
