Supreme commander open Beta

Well, played earlier for half an hour.. it seemed really choppy.. probably my gfx card but then it crashed... HMPF!

If anyone is up for a game later i can host.. got 1Meg upload. Infact, just seen the time, probably wont be on for a game later. Sorry.

Tried both ie and firefox, same problems for both :(
 
LMFAO what a game. Took me 1:30 in a 3 vs 3 to get a Nuke, gotta say that is dam cool.

Performance was 20+FPS at 4xAA and 16xAF. Core and GPU limited I think. 1600x1200.

Roll on full version :D
 
I'm unsure if I can ask this, but i'll chance it.

Does anyone know how to get the Skirmish option working?

I'm not quite ready to go out onto the Internet before learning how to play first! :D

Apparantly there's an open crack going around, which as far as I know, it's being discussed on supreme commander forums. Under that presumption, I guess it isn't illegal.

Don't take my word for it though, I could be wrong.
 
This is really annoying me......
I want to play this but can't sign up, and to really rub it in I have the file sat on my desktop :(

x2 3800, 2gb ram, x1800gto, laggy as hell as host but thats prob due to the fact i was maintaining 2bots due to players crashing out mid game

i was not inhibited by net speed...had a solid 50ping with connectees throughout

I downloaded it and I can ply Skirmish.

Its really low fps and my pc seems to really struggle with it.....
From the looks of things I'm not the only one with fps probs. Even with everything in medium and the settings down to 1680x1050 its still really slow :/
 
U get the key before u download the zip file, u need to use i.e tab if your running firefox, or just use i.e :)
there is a crack to enable the skirmish but theres a warning about cracks/hacks on the front page of the game browser(gpgnet).
Theres 2 files on fileshack the contain 6 tutorial demo's, only a small download ;)
Just do a search on fileshack for " supreme commander tutorial
U can also download them off filepalnet but mostly likely have to wait in line.

Game runs fine here on high @1920 upto 3v3 , 4v4 gets to laggy tho, specs in sig.
