Supreme commander open Beta

Anyone else think the entire game joining system is terrible?? Why dont they make the browser in-game and add the number of players currently joined/ping...etc??

The number of games i join just to be kicked back to the lobby is stupid.

if it was in game then it wouldn't have the launcher issues that everyone is having either!
 
The MP aspect reminds me of Empire at War when it first came out. Was just as bad trying to get a MP game working!! I was part of the Company of Heroes beta and the MP worked flawlessly! Hopefully the supcom guys can go take some hints from them ;)
 
Damnit I just got round to building a FatBoy in a singleplayer 2v2 skirmish yesterday but by the time it was ready the game had slowed to about 3 fps :rolleyes: Ghawdamit

What?! There were quite a few ocukers part of the MP beta and we went through numerous problems before it was anything like acceptable to start up a game. The lobby had a memory leak for ages, the performance indicator never worked, joining a game was hit and miss, hosting your own game was hit and miss..
 
I've not actually had a problem yet, I did have dodgy connection issues, but hosting its always worked and its only crashed once.

I bet if the people who have problems reinstalled to the bare minimum it would work ;)

just because you reinstall windows twice a month doesn't mean we have the time to!

Ive had one crash and one error when someone timed out and then messages about desync came up for everyone (as soon as you closed, another opened). Finding a game with low ping + joining it are the hardest part.

Got destroyed yesterday though :eek: Need to work on my build order some more.

getting into a game is really hit and miss here, persistance pays off after 5mins of searching and a game will start normally

but i havent been in any stable game of over four people, in any six player match at least three people will disconnect within 5 minuites
 
me concord and two others just had a game.
two crashed out and where replaced with AI (not at the same time)
then just as I was about to unleash my finishing blow of troops it locked up!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

also anyone else notice that the AI on your team will try and take over some of your buildings?
 
Hi All,

Just about to download it but I'm a bit dubious about the downloader that you have to install... what do you all think of it?? I'm thinking that it might be spyware... its really nagging me

really?? I thought that you needed too? Every time that I try to download it it is asking me to installer their download agent
