• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Surely even I can't be THIS unlucky!

Although possible, it'd be pretty rare for two cards to be defective in the same exact way.
What outputs are you using?
DP
What cables?DP cables that came with my moinitor
Tried different outputs and cables and/or adapters? What monitors are you using? Do you have a different model monitor to try to connect to?

Tried using HDMI and i have 2 Samsung S27A750D's. They both work perfectly using onboard gfx

If you can login it might be possible to install the nvidia drivers from the startup with some kinda quiet/unattented install command line options - bit of a stretch tho.

I can log in fine, the rest of that sentence i have no idea about

Do they work on there own in Safe Mode?

nope :(

I had to do a full reinstall when I moved from my 5870 to a 6990, was getting odd corruption in windows. Reinstall solved everything and was probably quicker than debugging the problem.

i'll do a reinstall then :(

How would I keep all my settings?

Also, I'm presuming that taking a disk image and then reinstalling and putting the image back on will do literally nothing?

You can save you bookmark folder, also a good idea to backup your mygames folder (in my doccuments) for all your saves and to backup your installed steam games to save on re downloading them.

How many different graphics cards is this now in the last 12 months?
and I thought I was mad (sorry... an enthusiast!) ;)

Not taking the mickey here. But it's at times like this, that a full image backup of your main drive comes in handy (did I hear Acronis TI anyone).

Good luck :):):)

PS. Also handy to have Windows target your user/username folders (IE. documents etc.) to a different HD, then no need to worry if you OS boot drive goes FUBAR.

Bummer about your backup/s. Automation is the name of the game here ;)

I await with interest to hear the resolution to your current problem :)

Don't let it get you down :)

I didn't read carefully, but if you use Intel IGP to get into Windows and uninstall all the nvidia and amd drivers, can you then boot into Windows using the GTX570s?

This may sound stupid and I may of missed if this has already been mentioned. But have you tried the auto setup button of your monitor?
