I needed more VRAM
My 580 had 1.5gb VRAM
My 570 has 2.5gb VRAM
2.5>1.5
I also needed DP
My 580 didn't have DP
My 570's have DP
I now have DP
Finally, 570SLI>580

This is a really odd problem. I'm gonna stab at unlucky and that you may have 2 faulty cards. Let us know how you fix it please mate.

the cards work but when the second is plugged into the monitor then it does't work :/

ATM, both monitors plugged into one monitor and it works fine. NV control panel recognises both cards and they are enabled in SLI.

If the windows reinstall hadn't completely mind****ed my computer and I, then I woul d be trying some games now :/
