Surprised at ocuk RMA procedure.

Standard procedure with almost all cards I'm afraid. For reference eVGA do an 'advanced RMA' with their cards (hopefully they do it still?) where you pay in advance for the card and once your card has been sent and confirmed as faulty then you are refunded this said amount. I'm sure a few on here have used it successfully and only leaves you without a card for a few days.

Personally I'm kinda glad that Intel chips have a built-in gpu for these very occasions, once I go AMD I bet a card goes bloody pop on me!!! :D

If you have ever had a console die under warranty you will know that you get a refurbished console back.

Standard procedure. You only get brand new if it cannot be repaired or replaced like for like.

Also the time taken for ocuk to test shouldn't have taken longer than 2-3 working days but you need to allow 2-3 working days for postage to them and then onto the manufacturer.

I suppose they have to test to ensure it is the gpu and not the motherboard or psu, etc.

No you don't  It depends on the retailer's policy and length of time you have had it.

I have only ever had one console die and it died like 6 times and it was always a refurbished model I got back from Microsoft.

It's been a while but that's how it went. Game was pretty bad for customer service back in the day.

Never had to go through RMA proceedings with ocuk but when I have dealt with my local shop (another very large computer retailer) they have just given me a new replacement part there and then even if items only have a month or two warranty left
