I have a ST3320620AS (SATA) and a ST3320620A (IDE) and want to give the IDE had drive the SATA controller. Unfortunately the firmware versions are different, but I tried swapping it and it didn't work.. Does anyone know if swapping the controllers will work if they both have the same firmware version? At least the connectors look identical...
