Swapping hdds

Can I transfer data from a hdd to a ssd (like a clone) without reinstalling windows?

I doubt it's recommended, but if I went for a ssd it's the only way I think due to having a student DL of win 7 and misplaced key and no install disc.

You can get programmes to extract the key. You can get genuine certified images from my digital life.

You can clone it over fine, use Macrium Reflect, it's free

yup lots of stuff out there to do it

but tbh i just installed a ssd and kept my old drive with stuff on it and put on the ssd what i want to run fast and multi boot

why clone stuff across you hardly use. do a fresh install of your OS then copy the main things easy peasy
