For the last 4 days straight I've been playing this when I'm not at work. Minus a few features that are being implemented soon this is the game I remember leaving 7 years ago when it became an over night disaster. The server is booming with old vets playing it again would definitely recommend having a try to any SWG vets out there!

The major feature - bazaar is due to be implemented in the next few days so its a good time to get involved! Any vets out there playing already?
 
Installed it today, I get, shame feature handle isn't implemented yet, that was my Fav, gone for marksman and medic.

See how long the run lasts, because it is identical to how it used to be, so done most of it. Still killed a few hours this evening and can spend tomorrow really buckling down.

But be warned superantispyware has flagged up a file, as being a advertising downloaded, usually bundled with software, like toolbars. Not sure if this is bad or not, as google brings replies up on both sides.

Also worth noting that they have an agreement with LA/SOE
None so far. A verbal agreement was made with LA and SOE back in 2006 which states that if we don't make a profit out of SWGEmu, there will be no legal action taken against us.

In game name is Glaucus, a wookie at mos eisely space port. Just doing some quick leveling before going out to do more fun stuff.

it tells you the server population on the website. you can tell when your in game too, its like when it was first released.

really enjoying this, brings back some good memories.

From the front page this was at 1:39 am eastern US.

Yes a few in the past have been closed, because of the questionable legality of it, however if they have reached an agreement with SOE/LA then its fine now :)

I've not logged on in a fair while, going to see how its coming along now
 
Well, i have played it, but after playing SWG through Pre-CU, CU and the NGE, i just felt like i couldn't be bothered to do it all again, made me smile though when i logged in, i just didn't have the desire to play SWG again.

I don't think there is anything illegal about it in the slightest, and was quite confused as to why the thread about this a few days ago was closed. They're not charging for it, and have re-written almost all the code to the game. There is no conflict with SOE or LA about this (partly why they tell you to use the original disks to install) at all so there shouldn't be any fear of recriminations.

All well above board and everyone who ever had the slightest interest in the best MMO ever* should dig out their old disks and get installing!
