I just got disks on ebay for £15, you get idiots who put ridiculous buy it now prices, then people who start a normal auction... they usually sell for £10 - £15 on auction I've found so I contacted one and asked for a buy it now.. job done.
 
I stored my landspeeder, his do I get it again? I though it would go to inventory but it hadn't?

Welcome to the wonders of the datapad Glaucus :D

Some sort of guild or alliance isn't a bad idea. Make short work of the levelling grind (plus means a bit of safety for Nightsister and DWB visits ;) )
 
Still playing on Bloodfin from time to time, just remember I jokingly made a guy named Donald-J Trump and got him up to Jedi last spring, not sure how welcome he'll be in the server now! (Also need to pick up that Novice Politician tag)
 
Any good guides to harvesting, want organic and non organic, then I'll need a power plant, before I go surveying, what's restrictions on placing them? Extraction rate, power required etc?

Got a decent rifle now and to rifle 3, also medic only on lvl 1.

Think I'm going to go for master creature handler, and master rifleman, then feel up what ever points are lleft on medic.


Really need some amour. But got a swoop for faster travel.

Edit, found some good comp amour, but can't wear it. But doesn't say why or how to get to a point I can.

Harvesting is a bit of a nightmare but I use this site to track harvest spawns and general locations though often finding a spot to plant a harvester can be tough... 'http://galaxyharvester.net/ghHome.py'

There is a great planetary map mod that can help you avoid rocky terrain where you can't plant harvesters...

Basically nowhere around a city, player controlled or otherwise or on steep or rocky terrain, nowhere near a nest or spawn so you need to clear them out first. Erm Solar energy is best to begin with but Fusion is the most cost effective.

Remember there is no cap on how many toons you can create on the server while its still in beta, so I'd set up a dedicated toon for surveying etc.

As for armour, you will be able to wear it you just need to get Doc and entertainer buffs, though they're heavy on your HAM bars so remember to take plenty of Vasarian brandy and I think vege canapes to give extra boosts.

If you can find a master smuggler, he'll be able to slice your gear which can give it better stats, make it less heavy etc.

Also google a stats template for your character now you know what you want to be... and get a image designer to migrate them for you

really need to find groups to go hunting with i know the kraut dragon hunt use to be a big thing. Are random groups still a big thing? or is it all about staying in your own clans?

I don't understand why no one has made a modern version of this, it was so popular, and a lot of it would be easy to create and improve on these days, it doesnt even need the star wars link. For the love of god the right click to move is horrible, why cant I have wasd.
why are big game companies so useless.
 
Sadly again because of the lack of cap on how many toons you can have and being able to run multiple instances of the game most people Krayt hunting tend to do so solo now, its a pitty really as it was things like joining a massive group to bring one down that really made the game.

Finding an active guild though you'll still find they will do community runs at things like the Krayts or the night sisters which is good fun.

Aye I agree, a modern fleshed out version of this game would be amazing, but unfortunately I think most companies aren't willing to stray from the WoW or freeplay micro transaction models now.
 
Might be worth checking out bloodfin.net guys, pre-cu feel with LOTS of added content without taking away from the classic gameplay, I would offer to help starters out on there but i've not been on for 6 months until today, must have put 25000 instead of 250000 maintinence in my house, come back to find it has poofed, and not to datapad like it would in live, just.....gone....with about 25million+ resources, all my DOT weapons, Janta Bloods, Mando Armor, you name it, I lost it! :(
 
yep that blows, game is kind of to easy now, buffs for what ever you want to tip, incluing zero. hugely powerful weapons for cheap.

loosing house and everything realy does suck.

need a decent and well known developer to do a kickstarter project, like star citizen/elite. MMOs promised so much then failed to deliver, and i also blame wow for that. inferior game that was to profitable and scared everyone else away from making mmos.
 
i realy need to find a group to play with, any suggestions? i'm assuming there's not enough of us to make a group on here. alos whats the busiest planet, like in the original game, i've mainly stuck to tatoinee.

now sniper lvl2 and very first level of creature hander, just tamed my first pet a rockmite.

is there anyway to gain CH points faster, even when attacking stupid strong creatures with like 6k health i only get awarded 50xp for my rockmite attacking them.
