Some real chances for some more metal tonight. We have the fastest qualifiers in the 4x200m men's freestyle relay and Siobhan Marie O'Connor is fastest going in for the 200m medley.

Of course the finals are all on at stupid oclock but I'll be up.

Well that was 2 more silver medals for the tally. Katinka Hosszu proved too strong for Siobhan but then she has 3 golds this week. And in the relay, USA beat us but they did have 21 time gold winner Phelps in their team.

IIRC, we had 1 silver and 2 bronze in the pool at London. This week, we've had 1 gold and 3 silver with more chances to come.

And then you have the article about sexist commentating yet Beth Twiddle said during the women's gymnastics last night that one of the women's floor routines "would stand up to some of the men's".

Three people sharing silver though, crazy. That guy looked crazy good in the semi's and I'm surprised that based off the semi Phelps didn't chose to go well before the turn and give himself a chance. Got to laugh about Cseh, not in a mean way, the commentator said before the race he left the medley and went to the fly to get away from Phelps.... now he's on the same step of the podium as well, Phelps won't leave him alone

I won't pretend that I know anything about swimming, and only watch during the Olympics..... but I've never seen anything even close to that.... I don't think anyone has!

Yep, they could have run the men's 100m in the time it took the others to catch up to Ledecky and still have time to spare.

Some of the US papers today are superb, they are absolutely tearing Lochte to pieces, his public image is being utterly destroyed. Even better is the hindsight replay of the interview he gave to an NBC reporter about the "robbery" where he even makes himself out to be a bit of a hero!
