hi i currently run raid 0 on a gigabyte board im getting a new i7 rig on saturday which also has a gigabyte board will my drive raid 0 work still on my new X58 board or will i have to reinstall the raid config and OS for new board?
switching to new mobo ?

Depends more on the controller than the mobo - the new x58 board will use the Intel ICH10R controller so if your old mobo used the same then you've got a damn good shot at it!
I went from one Asus to another using the same controller with no probs whatsoever.
