i loved this game and wanted to get a copy if i can....

anyone know if it will run in XP ? or anyone had it work in XP?

I loved this game on my amiga! I bought it for the SNES last year and it wasn't syndicate, just some cruddy shoot 'em up, a bit like cannon fodder but without the playability.

ha ha, sounds about right, the conversions never did work, playing that game without a mouse would be a mare!

i have an amiga, maybe i should buy it for that, just wanted to get it running on my pc if possible

Syndicate Wars works well in XP.

Syndicate.... I dunno. Never tried. Got the AGA version on my Amiga.

I guess if you were desperate you could make a VMWare DOS image and play with that :cool:

I've played the snes version and though it wasn't as good as the Amiga/etc, it was still pretty rocking

pursuadatron + rounding up the entire population of the level for the win

i used to get quite freaked out when the enermy agents moved in really fast, that quick march from all diffirent dicretions...

omg, only 5minutes ago i was hunting round my room looking for my emperor battle for dune game that seems to have gone missing when i opened my amiga box and seen this inside, growing temptation to play has just peaked, now im going to have to go setup the amiga

I was addicted to Syndicate for quite a while - fantastic game and agree that it could get very tense at times with all the enemy agents heading towards you.

Works on XP quite well, if you have a copy then you can use DOSBox and D-fend to get it working with XP

I loved the original on the Amiga, was quite proud of myself when I took over the world without using any cheats

The sequal never really grabbed me though

I love it when your guys are absolutely Wired out of their minds on that adrenaline drug, and they're taking out like 15 enemy with uzi's :cool:

if your lucky, i can play the first level over and over but thats it.

I was always a fan of the minigun.

Or even better, the persuadatron - with 500 people in tow.

Any agents you come across are persuaded and join your ranks.

That was easy, just have all the cybernetic upgrades on your agents and shed loads of lasers. Then give them adrenaline and watch the enemy get zapped.
