Poll: Syrian Chemical Weapon Attack

Would you support a military strike on Syria without a UN Security Council resolution?

Because you didn't vote for Ed Milliband yet....
Great :(

just because someone gets into power and not even by a large enough majority to do it on their own does not give them the right to dictate Britain for the whole term.

democrazy = voting in your dictator every 4-5 years
yea that is intentional spelling mistake

I guess he's talking about the revolt bit but I cba to read it and don't remember learning about the guy at school

I was talking about when the Arabs took Damascus, they weren't able to form an effective authority to govern, so the British had to step in. Of course, the British were extremely helpful encouraging them to fail. You should watch the film - it's one of my all time favourites.

if we had democracy Britain would have been against it at the summit...

people say one thing
pm does what he wants anyway.

why is his opinion above parliaments and the peoples?

Eh? If the PM 'does what he wants anyway' then Syria would be a smoking ruin by now.

Instead there was a democratic vote in Parliament.

Are you a student by any chance? :D

I think he means in the 20 nation vote at the G20. Paliament vited against any action yet Camerlooney still voted in favour of it at the G20.

The more I read about the chemical weapons in Syria the more I think the USA is lying about Assad using chemical weapons. The chemical weapons is just an excuse to go after Assad.

n111ck seems to have trouble understanding basic English, no wonder he wants us to bomb Syria ASAP.

It wasn't me that said 'vited'. :D

Why is it that only your axis of evil / commie type countries support Assad and why is it the only news sites that still keep posting that the rebels did it are paranoid conspiracy blogs or have never been heard of before?

Right...uhh maybe because they are not evil...?

For anyone to believe that anyone else is "good" is a gross...miscalculated opinion of life.

I've never felt so disjointed with the government and the western world as I do over Syria. When you look at the present facts, its mind boggling what's actually going on and it makes me sick everytime I tune into Skynews or BBC and see not one word mentioned about what's happening in Syria at the moment regarding the Al Qaeda rebels who we're arming and who the US want to train.

I could run off on a 100 page tangent on the unbelievable hypocrisy of the west and the complete mindlessness of our politicians.

I hope someone, anyone comes through with evidence to counter the US's unlawful quest for blood, because military action in Syria will cause a ****-storm so large it'll go on for ages. Especially when you consider the mouth drooling numbskull's across the border in Israel that can't wait to strike.

You can see the weak heads of state of other nations crumbling under the weight that the US is putting on them. Yet still, STILL we see not one shred of evidence that Assad was responsible for the attack. No one is reporting that fact. It stinks and makes me ashamed that our prime minister is there, waving his fist behind Obama like a little scared boy egging on his bully pal, despite the people of the country and the huge majority of our MPs being against it.

I don't know how old you are, but us older members will remember the run up to the Iraq war and how the media protrayed things back then. I remember speaking to someone at my work who honestly believed that Iraq was going to attack us with ballistic missiles (that they didn't have) armed with chemical/biological weapons (that they didn't have) because of what the media were reporting, based on what the US/UK governments were telling them at the time.

Eh? Google 'axis of evil' then come back and delete your post.

Also if the rebels did do it then why doesn't anyone seem to care? Either way 1,500 people were killed with sarin gas yet the focus seems to be on protecting Assads regime not stopping a repeat event. Sickening and shameful apathy but hey at least we can drag out endless anti US cliches and demonstrate our superior intellect but proclaiming the latest 'false flag' nonsense.

WE have no RIGHT TO INTERVENE.

Evidence or no evidence. Strikes on targets within Syria will allow foreign Jihadis in the country fighting against the government to gain some form of control and get there hands on weapons that they shouldn't have. Yes it can still happen now but foreign intervention will speed up the process.

They need to be left alone for them to reach a form of stability, it may take a long time years maybe but no country gets democracy bombed into them.

The last thing Syria needs is foreign military intervention.

SEND the civilians aid, evacuate vulnerable people maybe but do not give weapons and aid to either of the military on either side.

Once our..."enemy" that we seem to call "Al-Qaeda", gets their hands on any sort of weapon the Syrian military has, you can pretty much say goodbye to the entire region, including Israel.

If you're not a troll, then you're one of the most immature and wilfully blind creatures on this forum.

The USA has vetoed hundreds of UN resolutions condemning Israel, if the west ignores China & Russia's veto on Syria then it sets a very dangerous precident and makes the UN worthless.
