Great advise there guys, much appreciated. There are used gtx 1080 EVGA going on flebay for £300, good idea till Navi gets released ? Some of them have warranty left.

Yeah a 1080 will still get 100fps+ in 1440p

Ah that's great, will hunt down a gtx 1080. Is it possible to pay to extend evga card warranty ?

Unfortunately I don't think so. Have to be original owner and also bought the extended warranty within 90 days of original purchase

Got evga gtx 1070ti FTW2 from flebay, will keep it until Navi comes out and take it from there. Good thing is it comes with 2 year warranty left so at least that will cover it if something goes wrong.
