System Shock 3 Finally Happening

Considering the people involved in the production of the game, I am 99% sure this will be Game of the Year material, couldn't have wished for a better sequel announcement then this, for an amazing franchise.

The original SS1 might just be too much hard work. You can get it on GOG.

SS2 with the texture mod is most definitely worth a play through. Play it on your own. In the dark. With ear phones.

Otherside Entertainment announced that Warren Spector has joined their team as a studio director.

Spector played a huge part in introducing the world to classics such as Deux Ex and the original System Shock.

Great news hype factor increasing.

They are supposed to be great games I tried 2 with mods but 1 was too dated but its being remade and was BioShock not 18 years in the making (an idea at least) and basically based on System Shock 3 so it was said at the time?

Really can't wait. It's got a hell of a lot to live up to though. Wonder how far they'll delve into the original mechanics... can't imagine the same UI would gel that well with a modern audience.

Am I the only one who didn't think the original 2 games were that good?

I've not really played the first one though I did pick up the enhanced version when it was cheap as chips. The second game, however, I have played a fair bit but I do always prefer to limit the number of respawning enemies. There are also a number of mods for it as well which do a nice job of making the experience more accessible.
