Yeah, plenty of my mates do it, and I do it back just as much. That's the whole idea of the tongue being in the cheek is it not? No harm is done. Sure he may have bent the rules a little but who's really bothered besides yourself? Report his post and get it doctored and his wrists slapped if it makes you happy, or just take it in the manner which it was intended like everyone else is and forget about it.

as far as this forum goes, Arcade Fire is a prominent poster in this section, so are you, and around 10 other people that i could name offhand that are usually in this section posting about good music (does not include gilly

)

and from that i'd say that in this section you're "my mates" if that makes sense...

Does it really matter that much to you? You've been on here long enough to know Arcade Fire's posting style, and I'm pretty surprised you seem to have genuinely taken offence at his post.

You can spot a 'fake' tool / radiohead fan a mile away. They like all of their songs. REAL fans have to know what they don't like, and liking it all is just false.

Seriously though, the 'shut up and listen' comment was obviously tongue in cheek, talk about taking things personally.

I'm quite intrigued about tool. May pick up the album. Can't name a single song by them mind. Oh wait they did that weird video to some song called 'schism' or something?

Oddly enough, listening to 'unlistenable racket' after awhile and you do listen to it in a different way.... not that im trying to be pretentious!

Yup "Schism" was the first song to be released from 'Lateralus' their last studio album. Have a search for some of the past threads about Tool where we've recommended tracks to check out.

As for liking all their songs... For Radiohead I certainly don't like all their songs... Maybe about 50%? Most of Amnesiac is turd and a fair bit of Hail To The Thief I skip over now too. TBH I find myself putting Pablo Honey on the most and OK Computer if I want some 'real' Radiohead.

Tool I like nearly all their songs, with maybe the exception of 'Ions'

I like them to varying degrees, but I don't find much of what they've produced objectionable - that's why they're one of my favourite bands. I tend not to love bands where I only like one of their songs, otherwise The Academy Is... would be one of my favourite bands.

Schism is their most listened to song according to last.fm. It's off Lateralus. I'd pick up Aenima first though if you want to get into Tool.

See i think Undertow is the easiest tool album to get into, as out of the three (soon to be four \

/) it's IMO the most "normal"

It's the tool album i first fell in love with, mainly because of the first 3 tracts which are sublime, maynards vocals on sober are incredible.
