I now have full signal everywhere in my house!

I now have full signal everywhere in my house!
Seems to be that Orange customers benefit most as T-Mobile coverage is better overall than Orange (in general)
T-mobile has far less coverage then orange.
Mine is fully working now, signal isn't much better but its nice all the same![]()
I've gone from 1ish bar to sometimes no signal at all on Orange in my house to full strength signal everywhere in my house, result!
Yes, you can sign up, but there are a few quirky side-effects.
The good news is that we've checked every last detail - your phone, your coverage, your account and even your favourite colour (only joking), and it's pretty much all good.
But, these are the few little quirks that we're still working on ironing out:
General quirks
More detail and how to fix it
'Data roaming'
Your phone might display warning messages about data roaming when you send picture messages, or when you are using internet. Again, don't worry, your charges won't be any different.
Picture messages
A few phones won't get picture messages when they're using Orange signal. This is because when you switch to another network your phone thinks you are using your phone abroad, or 'roaming', even though you are still in UK. You can change the settings in your phone's menu to receive picture messages when you're roaming. That means you will receive picture messages both on the Orange network in the UK and when you go abroad. Don't worry, you will not be charged, as it's free to receive picture messages no matter where you are
You can change the settings in your phone's menu to receive picture messages when you're roaming. So you will receive picture messages both on the Orange network and when you go abroad and you will not be charged for it, as it's always free to receive picture messages.
Quirks with phones not bought from T-Mobile
We've worked hard to make this experience available on all phones we sell or have sold in the past. However, we can't guarantee it will work perfectly if you didn't get your phone directly from T-Mobile as you phone might not have the right settings to access data services, picture or text messages.
Have a look here and we will send you the correct settings.
Quirks with most 'always on' internet phones
Most of these phones are set up so that they don't allow 'data roaming', so you won't be able to send picture messages or browse the internet using Orange's 2G signal in the UK.
But you can fix this really easily.
Just change your settings to allow 'data roaming' while you're in the UK, but remember to change it back before you leave the UK
Corporate email
Automatic email retrieval of corporate email won't work when you're using Orange signal, so you will need to wait until you're back to T-Mobile to get your corporate email.
Microsoft Active Sync
If you use Microsoft Active Sync, you will need to change your settings to allow data roaming. You may still get a warning about data roaming, but just hit 'ok'.
What is a 2G signal?
When you pick up Orange signal, it will be a 2G signal, which is mostly used for calling and texting. You might be able to get some 'data' services like internet on your phone or email when using Orange signal, but they will probably be intermittent and pretty slow. So if you want to use any service that relies on 3G signal, just wait until you are back on T-Mobile.
Why do we have some quirks?
Normally when your phone switches to another network, it is because you are using your phone abroad, or 'roaming'. When your phone switches to Orange, it thinks it is roaming even though you're still in the UK, and that's where the quirks come from.
Don't worry, it won't cost you anything to 'roam' in the UK, even if your phone tells you it will.
Android phones
More detail and how to fix it
1.Android phones are automatically set up not to allow 'Data roaming', so when you're using the Orange network:
i.You won't be able to send or receive picture messages or browse the internet.
ii.You might get a message that says, 'You have lost data connectivity'.
iii.If you receive a picture message or activate an internet page, you might get a warning message, 'Generic network failure' or 'Unknown error'.
iv.You might see the 'roaming' icon (a triangle) whenever you're using an Orange signal.
v.You might see a message 'Allow data roaming? You may incur significant charges!' each time your phone picks up an Orange signal.
vi.When you pick up an Orange signal your phone will ask you: 'Allow data roaming?'
What to do: Enable 'Data roaming' on your phone, but remember to disable it if you leave the UK to avoid charges
What to do: As soon as a fix is available to resolve this quirk we'll update our Help & Support site, so please check that in the future.
Windows Mobile phones
More detail and how to fix it
1.For all your applications to work, you will need to make sure they have roaming enabled.
What to do: Enable roaming in the applications that are affected while you are in the UK. But do remember to bar data roaming when you leave the UK, or you might incur some high charges.
