Tabletop Warhammer?

Sorry to hear that, hope he gets well soon.
Thanks, it is pretty much a regular thing. He isn't particularly unwell at the mo but he can dip suddenly if things aren't kept in check. Hoping the @Home team can take him on this week for the remainder of the course, if we can get a Picc line in today.

When things have settled I need to get on with the Heroquest minis, finalise any extra modelling detail on the Death Guard CP and start building my daughter's Harlequins CP (so many tiny bits).

Update edit: Happy days, just had a femoral line inserted by the brilliant gent who has done all the tricky lines on my son for the past couple of years. My son was actually the first person he did a femoral line insertion on last year.

Sounds horrendous, sorry you’re all going through with that.

I’ve had zero painting mojo for a while, possibly worse because not played much. I did at least get some stuff on the bases etc.

@Noxia thanks, we are used to it, you just carry on and deal with it. Despite all his health issues and disability he is such a chilled and happy lad (young man now).

I am struggling with basing concepts for my DG. Last time I based any WH stuff sand and gobbo green was till the go to :D.

Got some textured sand alternatives, cork mats for height, various dried herbs and old tea leaves and some mud paste. I still have the urge to get some sort toxic goop though.

I have been following the buzz around the Pro paint release, and I can see there are alternatives, such as Vallejo and Army Painter. If you were starting out, which paint provider would you use? Citadel seems the most accessible, but their pots dry out.

Vallejo game colour paints are fantastic.

Army painter fanatic paints are also great

No single brand is the best for all colours. I’d imagine a lot of people end up with all sorts of brands.
For example, although I’ve got all the Two Thin Coats stuff, I have a select few from Pro Acryl, Vallejo, GSW, Citadel, Scalecolor etc

Citadel contrast colors are generally nicer to work with for bright colors over any other speed paint.

Vallejo True Metal Metallics are best in class by a long shot.

Army painter fanatic colors are exceptional if they have the triads that you want to work with.

I tried the new citadel paints this weekend, and they're nice. On point with army painter fanatic.

A new paint range from GW hmmmmm

Of the newer paint ranges my preference is swinging to the more thicker paints ranges like Ionic smart color and Army painter fanatic with Vallejo being the middle ground in thickness. The new tone pro seems to land in the same bracket as Ionic and AP.

As above just go straight to Vallejo True metallic for painting metallic.

No.

You do not need paint.

Noxia will know what this is :)

finished print.webp

I just finished cleaning and assembly my daughter's CP Harlequin Troupe, can feel the Tamiya extra thin on my lips mmmm. Just the jet bikes and Vypers to do now. Might actually paint something again soon .

Edit: I am old(er), they are now weavers of varying types.
