Tabula Rasa

Played closed beta a while back - patched and logged in again recently. It is what I have come to name "YAPOAFNCS"

"Yet Another Pile of Ass From NC Soft" - I swear they cant make an MMO to save their lives :( - Still they got a good few sexy ones in the pipeline so I havnt lost all hope yet (despite having played City of Heroes, City of Villains, Auto Assault, GuildWars....)

Instead of spamming 1-= to kill things you just spam mouse one, I found the UI was clumsy and the game just wasn't appealing, and not a single person I game with played it for more than a few hours.

Well I gave it a good few hours for two days in a row. There is just nothing there, its NOT fps as there is no skill involved AT ALL (wtf is up with that???) the interface is clunky, it does not run well..... and there is no PvP at all... ever...

So I went on their beta forum, told them all this. They didnt like it so I stopped playing and beta testing as they were not interested in what actual players thought :o

If you compare the pull / intro to the game to EQ2 it's utter poop. Those first few hours are crucial in an mmo. Actual game itself is average. Very samey but I suppose it is a slight breath of fresh air in the mmo market.

6/10

Quoted for truth!

I have at least tried for an hour or so every mmo out there and amongst them all only 2 sucked me in from the word go. Earth and Beyond and Lineage 2.
Not even WoW grabed me. Tabula Rasa was quite possibly the worst one I have tried, nope second worst. 1st place goes to Second Life.

Unfortunately I have to agree with everything that has been said. I've actually sunk a few hours into it in the hope that it would improve with time. It doesn't. Click...click...click...R...click...click...click...gets boring very quickly. The skills system is limited at best and the interaction nil. This is an MMO, so why they haven't bothered to make it feel like one is a mystery to me - I think I've spoken to one person in all the time I played. I don't think you can blame the community, the game mechanics do nothing to inspire sociability.
