Hi all, has anyone had a suit tailored, if so can anyone recommend a good tailors out here in Bangkok?

Probably looking at an average price, and good quality suit. Not sure on prices just yet, so any advice would be apareatiated.

I've got a card at home of a great one - near Kho San, an area called Rambutri (a few streets away)

www.dress-for-success.com

place is called Rajawongse

they do stuff for US politicians etc, I have used them a few times

on Sukhumvit road, near Soi 4

Nana stop on skytrain, it is just to the right of the Landmark Hotel

you will notice straight away that while others are touting for business on the street this place will have a queue of customers

Ah, that's another i visited, highly recommended

also, where are you staying on Koh San? D&D did me proud!!

They are not that expensive, about £150-175 for a suit that would cost £600-1000 here

Hmmm, thanks. ButI can't really spend that much. Iam at the end off my trip aswell so money is tight. Was looking at about 80-100 tops.

Is it far from Khao San Road?

you will live to regret not buying a suit from dress for success. The quality is excellent, and you get much more than what you paid for.

You can easily go to one of the 50 tailors on Khao San - you might be lucky, chances are you won't and will get something that is worth the same or, in many cases, less than what you paid.

For £150 ish you are getting real quality. Think how easily you can spend £150 in England. Invest it in something that will last for years.

A £150 suit in England - won't be anything special either.

Yer totally agree, its just that after being away for 7months ive spent far too much already. But I may go and have a look in the shop.

I would hardly wear it aswell, so cant really justify the cost at the mo,

Yup here in D&D, its vnice as are the staff. Shame the weather isnt up to much to make use off the pool.

Incredibly jealous chief, i want to be back there so much!
Back in the pool.. walking up and down the road dozens of times at night.. going to The Club.. Cinnamon Bar... Shamrock...

:(

the other good thing is that they keep all final measurements on file so you can re order when back home

Yeah thanks for promoting your site. You register, do a search for tailored suits in the search and then necro a bunch of threads. Get lost...

Well worth getting quality suits cheap in thailand i've paid over £1000 for a single suit over here.

Exactly. Just cough up the extra £50 OP. It's worth it. Otherwise you could go to Savile Row for a 'browse' and realise how silly you were not to take advantage of the opportunity that you now have.

Dude this is a 3yr old necro'd thread, dredged up by a spammer, just ignore.

There was one called 'BOBE', I got taken there which was a pain in the arse, but they showed me a bunch of suits in their sales pitch and I was pleasantly suprised.

Any Tuk-Tuk driver will know where this place is. I think it's one of the common ones.

edit: ahh, necro.
