Take the test. What's my real age?

Things like owning a pet drops your age. Of course not smoking and not drinking has a positive impact as well.

However it doesn't really ask pertinent enough questions, and on an online quiz they are not going to be able to ascertain important variables.

Still it's a bit of fun and perhaps makes people realise how bad smoking is and drinking is (in excess.)

Fasting is not a bad idea. I've started to do it every 10 days for a 36hr period, though technically you should try and do it for a minimum of 48hrs. I still keep my average of 4K cals I don't do it to lose weight, but to aid hormonal profile and lower igf1.

I thought you were against fasting before?

Or just IF? Any good reading about longer periods and its health gains?

Not against IF it just didn't fit my lifestyle, and saw it as an excuse to binge eat and then wonder why your body comp wasn't changing. IF still doesn't suit me. But a more prolonged fast is actually easier. And the effect on health although not necessarily visible has been measured. I was part of a trial at BUPA (private health care) to give it a go and keep the rest of my lifestyle the same (I..e diet and exercise). So every 10 days I fasted for 36hrs. Igf1 levels dropped and blood lipid profile improved as well. and after 3 months of doing it my BF also improved whilst my LBM remained the same so no atrophy. Furthermore my protein intake has decreased, but fats and carbs are up. Feel great.

No idea when the study will be published and this is just anecdotal other than the igf1 and lipid profile. But I quite like the results and I think I feel better for it.

How's it affected your lifting during your fasting periods? Or do you just not lift during this period?

A couple of years ago I lifted at the tail end of a 48 hour fast and didn't notice any real decrease in performance to be honest, like you say FF you do end up feeling pretty good.
