Taking the Pee in Paris!

We have them in the UK already

Yes its called "any corner of a public street". Funny how people get up in arms about official ******* places but unofficial ones are tolerated apparently. Some steps leading down to a multistorey car park near where I work is basically a public urinal. And the corner next to where I have to enter to work I'm having to step over the stream of **** running down the pavement usually.

Must be a man thing then as we dont see women crouching by the side of the road. They seem able to hold it in.

You've never been out in Bristol

To be fair they crouch down so can hide away a bit easier then blokes. I've had to use those temporary ones on a night out before, after a few beers the urge to pee can be very sudden :p

Huh? You never gone out at night? I've seen loads of women pull their knickers down, display their under carriage to all and then pee on the floor. Quite a show

Or have never learnt to pee without it going all over their hands :p

Urine is not the issue. In a healthy person, urine is mostly water and very low in germs. It's not sterile, but it's not far off.

The issue is the bacteria and fungi which will be present on the skin anywhere near a person's rectum. Or not even all that near. Human skin is a lot less sterile than human urine. Urinating on your hands after peeing might make them cleaner.

On average about as much as men can, as far as the limited research can show.

Convenience and social norms are probably the main factors, not biology. A man has a built-in hose to direct flow. A woman doesn't. It's inherently far more convenient for a man to pee anywhere. He can just slip the built in hose out of his clothing and pee away from himself. A woman would have to either remove her underwear or pee through it (probably not the latter unless she's filming for a fetish porn site) and partially remove some of her outer clothing and even then she's far more likely to pee on herself to some extent, especially if she's drunk (which most people who pee in the streets are). It's doable and it is done, but it's far less convenient. It's also less socially acceptable, though maybe that's no longer true with the youth of today (I'm old enough to use that phrase now :) )

There's a few of these dotted around Camden, with a few more modern ones that sink into the ground during the day.

A bit grim but it's better than having it along the streets.

Reading where I previously lived was the first town in England to have these I think. Personally, I think they are much better popping up late at night to keep the drunkards from ******* all over cars and peoples front gardens after being chucked out of a bar.

In the spring of 1830 the city government of Paris decided to install the first public urinals on the major boulevards. These structures served both as urinals and supports for posters and advertising. They were put in place by the summer, but in July they were put to a completely different purpose; providing materials for street barricades during the French Revolution of 1830.[2]

Those crazy Parisians, if you can't smoke it, fry it in garlic, or **** it then it's a barricade.
