Taking This on a Plane?

I travelled back from the States with some electrical items and I just informed them at check in. They stuck a sticker on the case with a description of the artical and it went through fine.

My son always flies with this kind of thing in his luggage. They haven't stopped him yet.

Indeed, I've flown back and forth from Cyprus with a suitcase full of networking equipment, hard drives and cables. I've never once been queried over it by customs or security.

I still wonder what it looked like on the x-ray.

as long as it's not hooked up to any semtex or tnt then you should be fine

I go travelling with a suitcase full of robots, including a mean looking flying thing.

No real problem so far. They might get checked out, and tested for xplosives.

That's what is most likely to happen carrying it as hand luggage.

I had to take 4 cans of a 35mm film through the scanners earlier this year and they made me open them all up, they then swab them and run it through a machine to check for expolsives.
