Yeup, it dropped down to the car last week. I am sure you are aware that the over the air update only does UK/Ireland. Heading for a Euro trip next week so wanted the new maps.

BMW Portal is telling me that 2017-2 is the newest version and even that was only released very recently. BMW have never released a -3 update before and yet so quickly after 2017-2?

Must be a staggered availability, the unofficial channels have had it for a few days. It didn't show in the portal until today, the car got it 5-7 days ago.

It's not that i don't believe you, more that releasing a third update is entirely unprecedented...

Plus they usually go at least 6 months between updates, not 6 weeks?!

If I could remember my hosting password I would post a screen shot, BMW may be moving to quarterly updates ?

Get it installed in the car and post a pic of the 'Navigation System Version' screen

Just checked on the BMW Download Manager and it only offers me 2017-2 still. I only updated last week

It's the Europe EVO maps if that makes any difference ? The 2017-2 have been available for a while around March/April

Yes that makes a difference - mine are Europe Next. Do you not have a 6 Series then?

I should have twigged when you said Over the Air - F10/F11/F12/F13 don't have that.

It's a loan 320D F31 (long story), I thought all NBT systems were the same.

Annoyingly a 32gb Sandisk USB stick is 200kb too small for the update ! Wonder how that works out, going to have to faff about partitioning a 64gb stick so I can format it in fat32 not sure if I can be bothered.

Because the 25Gb download is compressed and expands to 32.5Gb

Not quite needed 28.8Gb available on the memory stick but the formatted 32gb stick was 28.6Gb. Makes it a faff to install it as it needs to be fat32, so I had to partition down a 64Gb.

It's Europe West Premium 2017-2. You can usually find details in the BMW connected drive store.

Cheers, just checked. Says the app isn't available so would be a dealer update. As I'm still using the 2011 maps I'll look in to getting the update from the likes of ebay instead.
