Talkmobile

If that is all you're doing, don't worry about it any more.

It's PLENTY, you'll never use it up unless you were streaming stuff an awful lot.

I have 1gb data and I rarely hit the limit. Tweetdeck for FB and twitter updates. I can have 3g on all day, but switch off most things I don't need to update every 5 mins. Such as weather. I can manually update most things. I don't listen to radio as I sync my phone with winamp to the PC and download podcasts instead. Youtube is kept to a bare minimum.

Most of the time I use the wifi network at home so don't use 3g. 3g is used at work when i want to and/or when i am on train/out and about.

Is this not a better deal?

It costs more over a longer term and it looks like it's T-Mobile and their data isn't actually unlimited unless they changed it recently.

1GB is plenty for you anyway so it's not really relevant. You only need to worry about unlimited if you're planning on tethering.

£509, whilst the other one is around £460.

I thought t-mobile data was unlimited.

It used to be, then they capped it all down to 500mb, including existing customers. That caused existing customers to all get upset so they lifted it and it applies to new customers only until existing customers contracts expire (AFAIK).

Is it fair usage policy and unlimited browsing?

Fair usage policy applies to data usage.

There is no limit on mobile internet usage on Smartplans which include "Unlimited" data access. However if Talk Mobile feels that your data usage is so excessive that other customers are detrimentally affected and/or they are concerned about fraud, they may introduce a fair use policy.

If Talk Mobile publish a policy they will let you know. Any such policy may change from time to time, including where we introduce new Services which may require certain rules to ensure such new Services can be enjoyed by our customers. If, once they have implemented such a policy, your use of the Service is excessive, is causing problems for other users and you continue to use the Service excessively they may suspend all or some of the Services.

So if you go way over 1GB they might cap you, but you won't. Or that doesn't apply as it's a 1GB cap, but it's in the info.

£414 with quidco.

It's tempting, but the Sensation battery life looks a lot worse than SGS2, and it's a much heavier handset:(

It isn't a lot worse, but it is worse. Weight doesn't matter really unless you're a female :p

I suppose you do notice the weight a bit if you're holding it awkwardly with 2 fingers for example though.
