Tank bags - scratching?

I have this tankbag and it's big enough for a pair of trainers, jeans and t-shirt.

served its purpose for my Motogp trip to Silverstone this year :p
 
I keep considering a tank bag but I feel it would just get in the way with my tiny t rex arms :o
