Target Shooting

Mickey you ******* *******.

Honest i'm not jealous

Pity we aren't allowed anything moe than a bolt action here (and then only if we are a member of a target club).

Not true :)

You can leagaly buy and keep a semi auto .22rf rifle (FAC of course), you can also use both bolt action and semi for vermin control (they are not limited to range only).**

Will post a pic of mine shortly :)

Regards,

Dave.

I have one of these :/

It is a KWC S&W M4505, not a bad little springer but I want something with a bit more power.

I've got that too. :)

If you want to do precision target shooting (which I find deadly boring) then you need a quite expensive gun. If you're doing something a lot more fun such as practical pistol then you can do that with CO2 or airsoft.

I've heard it mentioned a lot, but what exactly is practical pistol? I could hazard a guess, but I might humilate myself, so I won't. ;)

I like the idea of precision target shooting as well, but the huge cost of target shooting gear puts me off, compared to regular rifles/pistols.

Personally i shoot for my university and i love it.

I saw your sig the other day, then I started looking at airsoft guns again, and that's what prompted this thread. It's your fault! :p

I'm planning on buying another guitar later in the year, so I might not have all that much money to spend on getting a gun, but first I'll have to find if there are any more shooting clubs/ranges in the area. I know there's an archery range (or there used to be, really expensive too) somewhere near me too, dunno how serious it is, or if they do air guns though.

My pride and joy, webly exocet LOVELY gun 5 years old and still at the 12ftlb mark on original spring all it needs is a little greasing every now and again, :)

Its such a nice rifle to shoot but as you will know very very loud (scares all the other magpies and pidgys away :p ) the gunlamp is very useful for hunting bunny wabbits with

P.s thats a simmons £200 something or other (I didnt buy the sight wouldnt spend £200 on one :p )

I'm into air rifle shooting but am yet to join a club, i have a 40m long garden so have a nice range out back :D . I have loads of air guns, there was a thread a while back and i posted pics of most of them. Here are my 2 air rifles, they are springers and are both tuned by Webley Venom.

Top is a Webley Sidewinder, very very nice gun to shoot, ultra smooth due to the Lazaglide tune, and ultra quiet due to the shroud silencer. The bottom gun is a HW97, this is Venom stage 1 tuned and is again very quiet and smooth to **** and shoot.

Here is a better view of the Sidewinder

If you want a fun air rifle to shoot then go for a springer but if your after top accuracy for say field target shooting then a PCP would better meet your requirements. If you have any questions then fire away, I'm also a member of the AirgunBBS poster by zenith10.

at first glance I thought it was a longbow, their quite similar (top one obviously :p )
Yes its based on a Longbow but the piston has had synthetic bearings added to take away the mechanical noise and a full length silencer/shroud has been added. Its a beautiful gun and sooooo nice to shoot.

I do like the longbow but it was a toss up between that and the exocet and I just like the exocet more, although the longbow is very sleek.

I like the exocet as well, its a decent springer, suited to hunting as it can take the knocks, Ive also got a BSA lightning which is very similar.
