TDU2 on steam

Do steam actually read the message you send?!?

I sent this message:

"I purchased Test Drive Unlimited 2 yesterday and I am unable to play. The automatic verification for securerom results in a message which reads "The SERIAL was not found in the database. Most likely the SERIAL has been entered incorrectly." I have re-entered the serial multiple times. When I try a manual unlock I get this message "Serial invalid! Make sure that you typed in your Serial correctly!" I have researched a little on your forums and the TDU2 forums and many people are having the same problem.

I got this reply

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

Please follow the link below for more information:

Title: Verifying Game Cache Files
Link: http://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

After completing this process please restart Steam. This should resolve the issue.

If you have any further questions, please let us know."

WTF does verifying the game cache have to do with a key activation on a third party site!!!

I bought this game, very disappointing! I get really bad FPS (Worse than Crysis on Max settings! Even at 30fps it seems really choppy!).

Shame, I really enjoyed the first one but I just can't have fun playing it with bad fps!
I emailed Steam to see if I could get a refund, fingers crossed!

played the damn thing for over 100 hrs the first month ir came out... now its half dead already worth it at 4.99 :-)

It is very CPU heavy but that seems bad - I get ~50fps with max settings with 4gig Q9550 and single GTX470 (game is too CPU bound to bother with SLI on my setup). Drops down to mid 30s sometimes entering built up areas but usually bounces back to 40+ pretty quickly and rarely too jerky.

Yeah, it's sluggish on my Core i5 750 @ 3.8GHz and R6950 @ 880MHz too.

And the game looks like a piece of **** at 1440p with 4xAA applied.

Steam support is very, very poor. It really needs to grow in proportion to the platform. I am a big fan of Steam, but they let it down badly.

Hope you guys manage to sort these problems out.

I can't even login to the damn game, tells me my Atari account does not exist

And the handling is horrible, the brake is only on/off which is laughable for a racing game.

Well I got it working, wish it didn't now, absolutely disappointed with this game, it's like half/half between sim and arcade style driving, wish it would be one or the other, don't think i'll be playing much :(

Same mate, spent hours trying to sort it out...
It's pony!

I love this game, I finished it with the keyboard (without any real difficulty) then I treated myself to a G27 which really makes this game even better.

No other game comes close in the wide open world as this one does! And cruising is such great fun. I've got around 200 hours and still will play many, many more!

The brakes are not great, but you do get used to them. Feedback takes a bit of fine tuning but works fine. Online gameplay is a bit buggy sometimes.

BTW I paid full price pre-order as I played the Beta which I loved. (sadly they didn't quite fix all the issues we asked them to)

Only bought this on the deal and after the initial trouble with activation everything is running smoothly.

I bought the casino DLC as well since I enjoyed it in beta and also enjoying cruising around Ibiza or the championship races. Had to turn down the voice audio as it appears you can't disable voice from other players and it's annoying when it suddenly crackles open.
