Tf2 drops a deuce on cod4 by miles, just needs some refinement and some other bits and pieces to be even better.
 
That picture looks like mine with wifi added to it. **EDIT** the one on the left i mean.

FIRST, close any file sharing programs(emule, bit-torrent etc) these kill my router/modem and for the moment try going into the router settings and put your computers IP address in the DMZ (i have no idea what actually this is) page of the routers settings. hopefully somebody smarter than I will be able to explain why this works, but it did for me.

I believe what happened to mine was the that it couldn't cope with he amount of connections per second gaming or P2P software would throw at it and it would keel over and crash. Firmware may fix this, but filesharing software seemed to be the biggest culprit.

Other than that get on netgears forums and ask questions. Sorry i couldn't help more.

my god! a TF2 thread without an iBot troll post about FF or how TF2 sucks???

And seen as you asked, yes, TF2 is amazing, it looks like it may be the sole cause of my failing my final year at uni!!!
 
Dont take it seriously, i did and now i dont play it anymore as you get to know the true failures of the game. For public play though its a laugh.
 
TF2 is an excellent game, I bought it back in October with the orange box and never really got round to playing it (I was playing Portal too much :p). It was only until after Christmas that I saw the light and started playing TF2, its pretty much the only game i play now. Its Brilliant! :D

Its fairly clear to see how TF2 isnt designed for serious or competition play. Its aimed at pickup and play fun for public use. A moaning player on a mic complaning about "why do we have snipers!" and "my god your all so ******* ******* am i the only one playing properly!" is the quickest way to empty a server.
 
It's a good game, but it's not something I play regularly. The main reason is because I'm used to FPS games where people die quickly when you shoot at them, e.g. CSS, BF2, COD4, etc. In comparison, TF2 takes forever to kill someone.

But other than that, it is quite fun. Quite enjoy outsniping other snipers, and most satisfying when you land a rocket bang on someone and they explode into a big mess!

Yeah im clearly imagining things when i say cod4 is a consolised pos. :rolleyes: We'll not mention the wolverine health system, or the virtually non existant recoil or the mass spammage of grenades on just about every map, or people racking up retarded kill streaks by doing nothing but whoring the callins.

Cod 1 on pc was a proper pc shooter, then cod 2 came out for consoles and pc at the same time and the multi was clearly dumbed down to suit consoles, it introduced the self restoring health and some of the more powerful weapons having next to no recoil. I dunno why people have a hard time seeing this, if anyone had played cod1 then 2 then 4 they would clearly see that the game has been dumbed down dramatically and this coincided with the game being brought out on consoles and pc.
