Teamfortress 2 Teaser trailer!

Just downloaded the trailer if you can call it that (why give out a trailer of the medic, scout, engineer, etc when we know what they are already?) it needed more game play content I think anyway. Having played TFC for many years 5/6 the TFC:S graphics will take some getting used to but having no idea what is within the new content I think it will be hard to judge until people play it. Yes it looks like a cartoon but hell no other game as pulled that off apart from a film. Fortress Forever looks stunning and it wont be long till they beta test there content so maybe a good chance that FF might have the slight edge? No doubt I shall play both games/mods and decided what one will take TFC in its place.

My god talk about a pessimistic bunch. Im looking forward to it more so now tbh and least its very diff from been just another COD, CSS or some other knockoff.

It looks superb. Its innovative and looks like it will be a laugh a minute. This is a game that will appeal to my sense of humour enormously. I think it will be an excellent game.

Could'nt agree more. ;)

lol I can't believe people are putting this down because it looks "childish". It looks like it could be a lot of fun to me.

I wish they had shown some real game play footage (by that I mean more than one character on the map at the same time) but I think this looks damn cool. Should make a good change from QWET, BF2 and COD.

Personally I think it looks great, the market is saturated with crap games trying to be 'realistic' I just want something different, aiming for laughs, like Giants.

"Too childish". Running around shooting people is childish.

I think it looks great, thanks for the linky :)

Well to be honest would have like to have seen some gameplay. BUT

i do like the way its going. I've gone back to serious same because of the fun eliment. Getting far too lost in realism, gaming becomes intense and leaves u wacked. Im hope like Sam it will be a laugh. Something that the game industry could do with.

Yes, people are moaning there are too many War shooters.
This looks refreshing and a lot of fun.

I hope they don't just redo all the same maps though. Something new in the map department please ?
I played TFC for years, If I find this is just 2fort, the well, and the rock, I think I will get bored quite quickly.

Only other slight concern is its free. If it was truly a great game, why are they not asking a few dollars for it, as they have with nearly everything else they release these days? Episode 2 will sell anyway...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not moaning because it's free, it just concerns me a little.

Fingers crossed.

Looks excellent, very stylish. Can't say I was a massive fan of TFC but I'll be giving this a go...

I think it looks great and this could well be the first thing i buy from Valve since HL2. Graphics, i think are a welcome change really, too much of the 'ultra-realistic' war games out at the moment, and this brings back some of the humour and i would suspect humour aspects to the game. I just hope its as enjoyable to play as it is to watch.

those slating the game for it looking childish are missing the point

TFC has never been realistic, its true, there are far too many "war" sims out there right now. Theres the battlefield series, the blackhawk down series, the ghost recon series, and thats before we even start on ET:QW

for TF2 to stand out, it had to be different.

and TFC was about impossible rocket jumps, conc jumps, unrealstic physics etc..

so the look fits it perfectly imho.

I definitely think the styling fits, you need those instantly defined character types as part of the game mechanic.. and your not going to be mistaking your enemies capabilities with those graphics.

Cant wait for the Pyro flamethrower effect... considering the last flamethrower i saw was RTCW which was amazing..

Holy crap that's changed a wee bit from it's old design.

Looks quite funky though

I made a fan site about TF2 over 6 years ago, think I might of been a bit premature, was called tf2thebecoming.com if anyone remembers it

As I said on another forum... it's easier to make "realistic" cartoon graphics than realistic realistic graphics. Basically, they've chosen their style and done an excellent job of it.
