Teeth

my bottom two were both horizontally impacted, so they had to be 'verticalised' before my dentist could remove them.

it was easily the most painful thing i have had to endure as she did it there and then in the chair :(

They just sawed into my jawbone to get 2 of mine out that were in the same situation. They put the bone in a jar along with the 4 teeth when they were done, although I'm not sure why.

Yeah had all them out at different times. The last one was a couple of weeks ago. Very painless, no blood at all. No different to have another other tooth out.

got 3 of mine out a month or so ago.

didnt hurt 1st day from then onwards dull ongoing pain and unhappiness for a week in my case but nothing i would describe as painful. more irratating.

It hurt like hell... I think I fainted a few times because of the pain, couldn't move my jaw for 3 months after and had to get one of those stair lifts to get me up and down the stairs safely.

You walk on your head?

Yes. Had them done under general as they were badly impacted.
Didn't really hurt after; was more an inconvenience with four gaping holes in my gums.

Im hopeing to not have to be awake for it ... I think my main issue is I have to many teeth so there's not enough space and its become impacted, I was on 2 different types of antibiotics within the space of 3 months second lot were stronger due to pain and when i went the second time i was also reffered to have the teeth out. Im going in this week for it

Are you going to the dentist to have them out?
Dentist will do it under local anaesthetic as they're not allowed to put you under general.

I think you can ask for it to be done under general but you'll be waiting a while for a day surgery opening. I was on the waiting list for 2 years.

I had a tooth on the right side of my mouth causing quite a lot of pain, and went into the dentists not even thinking about the possibility of having a wisdom tooth removed. The nurse was quite surprised when I asked her if she could do it now! She seemingly proceeded to poke about my gum for a bit while in fact she was injecting me with the anaesthetic, and then wedged what looked like a rather shiny chisel in my mouth and levered the offending item out after a good degree of effort. It was completely painless, and the only annoying thing was getting bloody food stuck in the open socket while it healed! Mouthwash sorted that out though, although Listerine does sting a wee bit!

I had one out under general anaesthetic as I was having other dental surgery done, so he decided to take it out while he was at it.

I've had two more out with a local anaesthetic and it didn't hurt at all. To say I was a bit worried beforehand would be an understatement though, as when the dentist decided they needed to come out, he said to the dental nurse "make it a long appointment, I might need to play with them a little bit".

i had a tooth out last week and my breath stinks atm, ive also got a horrid taste in my mouth. im see the dentist tomorrow but i was wondering if u guys who had there wisdoms out had the same problem at first?

My mouth tasted a little funny at first, but obviously as I was getting things stuck in my socket I was using mouthwash very regularly.

No im going to the hospital emergency dentist as I didn't have a dentist when I first exprienced pain and was in so much pain that I had no choice but to call them same with the second time around.

I had one out, it was the lower back left and it was Impacted (On its side). Had it out in hospital and it didn't really hurt (Probably due to the yummy drugs I was on). The stitches hurt though because they dug into my gums for about 2 weeks but it was bearable, nothing serious.

I was on the waiting list for about 4 weeks to have it done and was out within 2 months of signing up. best advice is LOADS of mouth wash and salt water.
