Tefal ActiFry Deep Fryer?

Does anyone own one of these? We currently have a proper table top electric fryer which needs a lot of oil, I was wondering the the ActiFry would be a worthwhile replacement?

My Aunty has one and she swears by it. Really healthy and tasty chips. Low maitainence aswell, and mess free.

It takes about 30mins to make chips (I think, I've never used it myself) but they taste nice and you use barely any oil at all so are much healthier.

My mums got one and loves it, I keep meaning to test it out when I go round but keep forgetting. She highly rates it.

30mins isn't bad, takes that to do oven chips.

The problem is - other than chips, what else is there to 'fake' deep fry? :confused:

I was thinking onion rings.. but your need submersive oil to make the batter sieze up straight away.. so I guess it's not an option.

It does seem a bit of a one trick pony, I struggle to think of anything other than chips that would A) work in theory and B) actually fit.

They had one on test at costco. Awesome machinery! If you know someone with a CostCo card, they do have them there. And they are cheaper there.
