didn't expect it actually, i knew there were rumours but i thought tekken would always be ps exclusive. my bro will be happy to hear the news

Wow, PS3 is getting all their 'exclusives' stolen left, right and centre lol..

I haven't played it myself for a very long time, but I remember and arcade cab of Tekken 4 and some Chinese guy was able to take down the computer with one continuous combo. As interesting as it is and flash, it makes it very stupid because it all comes down to who gets the first hit in.

Hmm, I'll be picking it up on PS3 due to the pad. I'm good at Tekken, I don't want to get used to a new control scheme.

Wasnt tekken all about the 4 simple buttons? Shouldnt make a difference.

Well, It's also about Dpad. I never used analogue, I felt more control from the Dpad.
You are right about the 4 simple buttons, But the 360 dpad is something I've never really got on very well with, Hurts my thumb after a while too

Ive got a hori fighting stick anyway 
Theres an art to tekken of being good enough to beat button bashers. Its a lot easier to play than say VF5, but almost as difficult to master.
Not sure how excited I am by it really, as Ive played a fair bit of it at the arcade, and its pretty much reached its capacity now and doesnt offer that much over T5.
Id get it on the PS3 as I prefer the pad, and have a hori fighting stick.

Meh!! You obviously didn't play Tekken 5!! Best game ever. It's the only reason I still have my PS2 plugged in!

I agree, Tekken is still a great force in fighting games, Dark Resurrection on the PS3 is immense!

The big surprise is that date End of 2009!! Thats for the Japan version no words off when the US/Pal release will be, hopefully it will be a WW release. As for it going multiplatform, couldnt see that coming lol, it was always going to be a PS3 game, as the arcade is based on the PS3, but in the current console climate and how well SC4 sold going to the 360 was always on the cards.
would it not be better to pick up a ps3 first? or have you now bought one that you are buying games for it?

It'll most likely be a PS3 to 360 port though, so it's entirely possible that us PlayStation owners will get a slightly better product. Regardless, I really don't care, all this talk of exclusives is for the sole reserve of the fanboys, as long as the game itself is good, I really couldn't give a **** if it gets released on the commodore 64 as well.

Still don't have one. Waiting for the looming christmas price drop now, I will get one eventually though
Doesn't change the fact I would prefer to play a tekken game with a PS pad though. As that's what I'm used to.

This was the reason I was keeping my PS3!! Theres no real reason to keep it now...(I have a 360) what with FF coming out on the 360 and tekken 6 , what games are going to be worth keeping the PS3 for?
