AWWWWWWWWWWWWW - HORRIBLE NEWS!!!

This was the reason I was keeping my PS3!! Theres no real reason to keep it now...(I have a 360) what with FF coming out on the 360 and tekken 6 , what games are going to be worth keeping the PS3 for?

This is a sad, sad day for the playstation.

White Knight Story, Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, Heavy Rain, Blu-ray player, HD media player, blah blah blah.

You were keeping your PS3 on the basis of a single game?
Somebody needs to get out more.

I think it's silly to buy any system on the basis of one game, the decision should be about the range of games and also the capabilities of the system.
Maybe not so much with cheaper systems in the past, but if you're forking out £299 for a console, it should be about more than just 20 odd hours of gameplay.
I appreciate not everyone would look at it that way though.

Trailer (doesn't show much).

I played this yesterday in the Arcades. Much nicer looking than Tekken 5 (which is just an upscaled PSP/PS2 game anyway). Only tried King and Law, but liked what I saw. Will be interesting to see how it ports as from what I read the Tekken 6 arcade machine is Cell/PS3 based.

Can't believe Namco/Microsoft have announced the game 1 year before it is even gonna be out!! Anti-Climax!!!

Either way PS3 purchase for me, d-pad on 360 is no fun, barely played sf2 hd beta because it's so poor (plus I have joystick for ps3).

have you mastered it? what are you basing this on?

It's probably one of those preference things creeping in there, I find the game easy to master, Mainly because I've followed it through the stages from Tekken 1 to what is now Tekken 6. So i've slowly mastered the game. Same goes for Soul Calibur. I've mastered it due to being a veteran player.

Where as if i was to jump into the likes of dead or alive now or Virtua Fighter, I'd be screwed and it would take ages to master no doubt.

I generally think, Tekken would be the easiest to master if you were a first timer and building up.

But I do not think it is easy to master

hm i dont think that tekken 5 is dominated by button mashers u can sort this out by playing online vs good opponents. there can and is a lot of strategy and tactical nouse to be used in tekken, i think it still rates up there with the best of them.

i didnt like tekken tag and 4 was okay. i play 5 now on ps3 and its good.

dissapointing blow for sony though to lose such a big title from being an exclusive to being also available on the xbox:/!

edit; not to start a war, but i find soul calibre lends itself more to button bashers than tekken does due to its higher pace.

i believe there is a t6 machine at trocadero (sp?) in london

they're both as bad as each other for attracting button mashers but that is beside the point. any beat em up with large movelists which include simple button strings will be easy to "mash", its just the way it is be it tekken, doa, sc whatever. that is beside the point though, button mashing i guess makes it accessable and good for casual players but someone who knows how to play will destroy a button masher every single time, with no exception (in a lag free environment).

Am I the only one that preferred Tekken 3 and the earlier ones than the newer ones? I absolutely hate what they did to the control system...

One reason why I still havent bought T5 : DR on my PS3...

I like the introduction of sidestepping moves. aswell as the other double tap manouvers and moves. And I believe they were introduced at Tekken 3, So i'm a fan of tekken 3 onwards, Although obvious tekken and tekken 2 were absolute classics, I loved winner stays on at the local arcade, as I wracked up some kills.

Tekken Tag tournament was a great game too, But the thing about that is my Bryan Hwoarang comination was pretty rock solid, And I actually got bored of the game due to no challenges. I don't mean that in a big headed way, More a shame that the game's difficulty wasn't great, Nor were my friends at the time.

Main thing I'm looking foward to now, Is Tekken 6 online with Xbox live. It's the only reason I'll become accustomed to the 'eww my thumbs are bleeding' 360 Dpad.

I can't wait to see a Leaderboard form on here :D
