Temperatures don't affect HDs?

Interesting article in the BBC news.

Basically, hard drives are not affected by high temperatures (under certain conditions).

I like research that challenges perceived wisdom.

Thoughts?

As long as they stay inside a computer and not oven then it should be fine.
