Ah nope, im getting nothing coming up on screen :confused:
Have i missed something totally obviouse like a complete n00b?
All iv done is install both programs, then i open video decoder configuration and the changes i make, they do nothing.

Ahhh, brilliant, thanks. I still cant get it working but atleast i understand what it does now.
Edit: ah, its because the guides version of theatre tec uses cine DVD decoder pack whereas the new one i have uses something by nvidea, anyone any idea's?

after u install Theatretek, install the ffdshow aswell. Then you just need to follow on from here http://htpcnews.com/main.php?id=ffdshowdvd_4

once that is done, load up Theatre and setup Video similar to this picture...

Just thought i'd do this and the difference is phenominal. It makes you realise just how poor quality the dvd was it the first place.

I had the exact same problem mate. All i did was change a setting on the video tab to this:
