16 year gap played a big part there - just too good around the court...... Physically better, speed, creativity etc....

Fabulous to see at 22 years old - How many more will he add..... Could easily see another 8-12 in the next 5 years as really Sinner is the only man in his way.....

That's up to the players to decide though, not randoms on a computer forum saying they should retire. It makes no sense.

It’s more for the epic ending though, had he walked away after winning the gold it would have been fair play. Won everything and went out on a high.

He’ll still go deep in slams for a few years but realistically he’s not going to be these two back to back. He’s nothing left to prove really. He got to 4 semi finals last year, at his age that’s impressive. Realistically he’s not going to get the 25th and he’s not going to be able to the change how he’s viewed by fans around the world, that ship has sailed.

He’s mentally strong and with him beating JS in the semi he’ll think he can do it, only going to get tougher though!
 
FO odds you can get 19 on him to win it, he’s still 4th favourite. Which is mad.

On that note, do any of you think they should be making the surfaces quicker? So theres a different between the surfaces. Make grass super fast again. Have the US or Aus a bit different in terms of speed.

Clay to Grass should be a massive change.
 
Well that was pretty embarrassing from Raducanu in her tennis final. Sky coverage way over the top with how she is back to her best, not even sure what that is. She just isn't that good.

6-0 6-2 is dreadful.

Boulter in a final too, playing a bit better currently but in tough first set

Oh I was pretty excited to hear she was in the final! Disappointing to hear she lost like that.

Congrats to Boulter, winning final in three sets.

In fairness to Raducanu's final performance, she was playing with a respiratory lurgy.
 
She'd had a QF where she came back from 5 games down to win 11 games in a row. Then an epic match against the Ukrainian player, which was fun to watch. The final was all one-way traffic, though even without the illness, I did expect Christea win, being a real Romanian (Raducanu is part Romanian) in her home country with the crowd behind her, in her final season.

It's still bodes well for Raducanu this season given she hasn't had a pre-season at all.

She's high enough to be seeded at grand slams, so it going to get more opportunities for good points.

Just remember, Kornikova, was ranked as high as 8 in the world (Emma's never been there) without ever winning a singles title at any 250,500,1000 or GS level. She did win doubles titles but was carried by Hingis.
