I don't think it's really relevant whether they 'exist'. We perceive the universe in dimensions, so that's what matters. Any theory that makes use of such a concept is simply doing so because that's how we choose to express it.Dimensions are just a tool scientists use to understand the universe, who's to say they actually exist.
