Terminator 5

T1 is still the best of them all.

It's the only one that actually has you on the edge of your seat... scary almost.

^ It's shear the helplessness that set the first two movies apart. Great stuff.

Was that a clip from Home Alone 10: Lost in apocalyptic LA?

A buff dude in a suit who can't aim, was dumb enough to shoot his own foot off and gets taken down by Macaulay Culkin in a series of unrealistic traps? :D

Here's a proper terminator owning everyone with a plasma rifle. We don't even see Kyle escape, just his hopes and dreams being crushed... Awesome! :p (Franco Columbu made a great T-800)

LOL! :D

And +1 to that! That scene with him was unbelievably good  Music was so fitting too.

Claire Danes was pretty tough, I'd say.
And remember, toughness takes years to acquire.
The more you are subjected to (eg. torture, hard decisions, blood, killing, harsh living conditions, etc), the harder/tougher/desensitised you become. Remember, she was a vet - a caring person, who did not want to see harm come to anyone or thing. She'd have a good 10-20 years, to become gradually tougher. The same goes for Nick Stahl (wimpy J.Connor).

I wasn't denying she was tough. I just didn't think she was anywhere near as good a character as Sarah Conner.

In my opinion, T4 was better on the big screen than it was watching it later on TV/DVD/Blu-ray. Maybe because it was the first Terminator film I saw on the big screen, or that because after seeing the disappointment that was T3, T4 was more enjoyable, I don't know. But neither were great.

The things I liked about T4 more than T3, were mostly for a start, the trailer. The trailer was epic for T4, and it really got my psyched to see it. It was disappointing it didn't seem to be as good as the trailer portrayed (the trailer had colour yet the final film was more muted amongst many other things), but there were a few merits to T4 that were semi-decent: Sam Worthington, the start with John Connor and his squad plus the chopper crash and fighting a Terminator, and the last part with Sam Worthington fighting the T-800. The bits in between and the finale with John Connor's heart surgery, was mediocre. It was disjointed and didn't make much sense. It was pretty obvious this thing had so many writing changes, as it was all over the place. But the one thing that I liked most important over T3, was that it was more serious like the first two films. T3 was a joke all the way through.

I think T3 was geared more towards a younger/family audience.
T4 was definitely not intended for kids/family.

And with regards to JC being weak in T3 - I think they explained it at the start of T3, where he has taken to drink (and probably drugs) and has become a drifter. The war never came on the date which he expected and in essence he lost his purpose in life. If Arnie didnt turn up (again), I'm pretty sure he would've ended up dying at a young age from a drug overdose or similar.

LOL Yeah.
The problem is though, that Furlong was 'off his head' at the time that T3 was made.
He probably wouldn't even turn up to filming, if he was cast.

What if they made T5, viewing the movie from a completely different angle, from a different character's point of view and completely ignore what J.Connor or Kyle Reese are up to? Remember many other lieutenants (of JC), were targeted for termination, not just JC or his mum. Why not see a story from their point of view?

I would actually quite like to see the future where they capture the T800 and the whole lead up to sending him back in time or/and the assassination of JC.

Some of the cinematic trailers for the terminator 3 redemption and rise of the machines games were excellent imo!

If you expect anything from T5 at all, you're bound to be disappointed.

The people who bought the rights have no idea what they're doing with it. Is Arnie in it or not? First he is, then he isn't, now he is again?

Script? Let's worry about that later...

They wanted the Fast & Furious guy to direct it... but they don't even have a script... but it's OK, he's off making another F&F movie now...

If this is the way movies are put together these days it's no wonder we get to watch so much trash.

DO IT. DO IT NOW!

I'm chuffed to see him back on the big screen and welcome any new movies with him in. The guy is an absolute legend and was a big motivator for myself, whilst growing up.

I'm with this guy,Absolutely love Arnold my favorite actor..im actually quite surprised hes doing another one because he is getting on.

I just hope this time hes the bad guy,Watching T2 it didnt seem right him playing the good guy role..i preferred him as the bad guy in T1 that was just bad ass!

Theres surely got to be a newer, more advance model than the T1000 out by now too, that will be interesting.
