This show is going so down hill, seriously each episode is getting worse.

Its like they are all Filler episodes....

This suggests it was good, or at least better at the start, it wasn't, it was just new and you hadn't realised how crap it was.

First ep, bad acting, stupid story, plot hole after plot hole, etc, etc. This could all end up forgiven if they needed a stupid plot hold ridden start to establish a good story later on. Its not perfect but sometimes people have a great IDEA, like colony on another planet dangerous, etc, etc but no idea how to get there.

Unfortunately crappy opening followed by multiple really bad episodes = no forgiveness available.

it started crap, its continued to be crap, I'd be surprised if it got better at this point.
 
It's gotten to the point where you want to keep watching just to see IF anything exciting will ever happen.

Or maybe thats just me.....
 
do you think the writers / producers thought each episode was good?

how can something with the possibilities this show offers be so boring, and something like lost be so entertaining...

is it so amazingly hard to write a good 1 hour episode of anything there are only a few writers in the world that can do it, or are the producers so out of touch they really think the crap the are making is good?
 
I find it gutting that pure Scifi is getting diluted to this tripe. I'm still really disappointed over SGU getting canned and just when it was getting really good...

The thing is that there is a brilliant premise with the time gate and attempting to communicate between the two times. Where is the political intrigue at the other side? Where is the real conflict between the good and the bad? It's frustrating because the whole show is a filler...

I hope the show gets a full five seasons, that way there's a lot more episodes to predict and i should get a few of mine right. :p
 
As a random message, almost all military equipment since the 50's that runs on computers is, amongst other things, shielded against EMP. :D
 
Seriously can't believe how bad any scene involving any holographic monitors are. It's so cringe worthy every single time.

And the family stuff is just as bad too. The scene where he's showing the kid where she was born...God who wrote that because honestly they need a new job. It's not interesting to listen to crap like that. OOOOO you're a family, we get it. Jesus.
 
I didn't mind the latest episode TOO much - still not great though. Problem is, the story is so diluted they haven't given us much reason to care what the son is up to.
 
Anything Spielberg does these days I will be giving a wide birth. I'm not sure which is the more rubbish, this or Falling Skies.

I actually think Falling Skies is better as there is at least one character I actually like.
 
Thought the latest ep was OK despite not a lot happening. I actually didn't see the 'twist' (fake arrest) coming which is more than can be said for some of their plotlines.

Can't help but feel this would have worked better as a BBC series with 1hr episodes instead of 42min or whatever it is. I feel it suffers a bit from them not having enough time in a single episode to deliver much meaningful content without it being disjointed.

As for drunkenmaster what are you doing still watching it? You've basically said it is a load of crap (fair enough) weeks ago so not sure why you keep watching and posting :)
 
Why is so much so called Sci-fi coming out of the US just Drama in a sci-fi setting? it started with stargate universe then falling skies and now this
