Terror Plot Foiled

Ok, what a load of RUBBISH.

Hating the US and UK is one thing. But terror attacks are COMPLTEELY and UTTERLY wrong all across the board. There is absolutely NO justification EVER for a terrorist attack.

Your post reads like you basically condone what these ****ers do because they "don't like Israel and we are friends with them". That is a load of ****.

If they didn't blow themselves up on busses, tubes, trains, cars and nightclubs then MAYBE we could be at peace with no loss of civillians.

However this is not the case, Israels war is a retaliatory war. If you don't want Israel to attack you - don't ****ing capture their soldiers you IDIOTS.

If you don't want the US and UK to attack you, DON'T HARBOUR INTERNATIONAL TERRORISTS and over them protections.

And Iran, here's another tip to avoid the same: Don't declare that you want to "wipe Israel off the map" and then declare that you are enriching uranium and certainly don't get caught helping Hezbollah soliders. Not even Allah can help you if Israel find's an Iranian in Lebanon.

THey all have everything that's coming to them. What is the lives of 900 Lebanese civillians dying in a warzone compared to 2,500 who died as the Twin Towers fell?

Sadly views like yours are precisely why we are in this mess and why we are at risk of terrorism in the UK.

UK police hold 21 over foiled plot to bomb planes

LONDON, Aug 10 (Reuters) - British police are holding 21 people in connection with what they said was a foiled plot to blow up several passenger planes flying between Britain and the United States, police said on Thursday.

Describing the plot as an attempt to cause "mass murder on an unimaginable scale", they said arrests had been made in the London area and in Britain's second city Birmingham.

Both are tragedies but the former were killed by a "supported" western government the latter were killed by Islamic extremists.

If they shoot dead an innocent man on the Underground

But they didn't pick someone out of the crowd and kill him for no reason, they eliminated him because at the time they believed him to be a threat.

The police can't win, they have patchy information on a man who could be a terrorist threat.

They kill him and find he's innocent - They get called incompotent.
They let him go and he blows up a train. They get called incompotent.

Based on the information they had at the time, they had a possible threat about to enter the underground, the safety of London passengers was paramount. They needed to make a decision. They didn't make the right one, but I support it.

or raid a house and find nothing there, they are incompetent.

Raiding an empty house is far better than not raiding one and then it turns out to be a base of operations for several extremists.

Does it really matter if their lead turns out to be false? At least they are making sure they don't miss anything, trying their best to keep people like you safe. But of course, if you think you could do a better job of keeping Britain safe, go right ahead.

I think we need to see how this all pans out before jumping to conclusions about the motives behind todays events. We have no clear details of the plot yet.

We have to look at the bigger picture as to why we are in the situation that we are in and this government are complicit in causing the problems that we are facing but that is a whole new arguemnt. If you don't belive what I suspect is going on that is your perogative but when in the future you are in the queue waiting for your microchip, don't say I didn't warn you.

I would rather wear a microchip (being a good upstanding lawful citizen with nothing to hide) than be blown to bits while I'm on holiday thanks!

which airport mate?

Gatwick.

Heathrow is the same though.

You can't take any hand luggage on with you and you have to have a full body search and put your shoes through the xray machines as well.

Did the police not also stop people from making unpleasant comments or critical comments about Islam to themselves? (Whilst protecting muslims carrying "behead westerners" type placards.
Seems like it works both ways to me, not to mention that they may be advising you for your own safety in case some loony attacks you for your thoughts / beliefs.

Nope, they told me to keep my view's on Israel to myself, but did not stop or tell anyone that had view's saying that Lebanon is getting what it desver's and never mind about the deaths or woman and children.

I think what I said is self-evidently true - if you believe everything the government says without any scepticism then how is that not naive or gullible? :) It is the very definition of it. It was not an insult, merely an observation.

Usually we afford the respect of not decry the opinions of others as a product of naivity, especially given that at this moment neither you nor your oponents can provide anything undiputably solid to confirm your viewpoint.

We have seen the effects of terrorists here and abroad. Many were saying that it was mere government paranoia until it happened the first time. I definately think that many wish to do a similar attack again, it seems likely given that we are so tolerant of terrorist ideology within the UK and so sympathetic to their discourse.

Lets hope the closing of airports doesnt disrupt our efforts to supply weapons to the Israelis.

Now...why do people want to attack us again?......

That is complete rubbish sorry mate but nothing is further from the truth. All our attacks have been in RETALIATION to terrorism, so how could we have brought the terrorist attacks on by our actions??

You fail to see a valid point, I bet you will change your tune if your family were on a plane to the US this morning and had been blown to bits.

It's soo easy to sit there all high and mighty protesting at the government knowing you are righteously sticking up for human rights across the globe - yay!

If the day comes that a terrorist attack has a direct effect on you or your loved ones will you still cry for the terrorists who have been so horribly prosecuted?

I'll answer for you:

"No."

No the reason we have terrorism is because they dont like the western world and how we live and they want to get 40 virgins in heaven
