23, one's allready been released without charge.

And in answer to your question nope. Until someons questioned they cannot provide an innocent explanation for whatever it is thats caused the police to be suspicious enough to arrest a group. Now whilst I don't imagine everyone is guilty nor do I expect everyone to be innocent. Especially given the odd leaks and the previous **** ups such as Forest Gate & the ricin plot I'd expect the authorities to be as sure as possible before smashing the doors down.

problem is evidence. I expect most of the 23 arrested are guilty in some form or another, even if its just not telling the police. As for the forest gate, he's know being done for child porn. Is he really as innocent as he says or is it simply a lack of evidence?

Given the police apology it seems that whatever else may come to light both of the brothers were innocent of the charges the police used to smash the door down.
 
Well they've already found guns, very large sums of cash and plane tickets for tomorrow.....

I think we will hear more tomorrow when the police need to submit some evidence to be able to hold them for longer.

Guilty of what?

Many of these may have been arrested in order to produce evidence, or merely to ENSURE that they were unable to pass information to others (either knowingly or unknowingly)...

I am not sure all are guilty, but I do trust the security services to conduct the investigation thoroughly and do everyone proud...

1) Imply liquid bomb plot
2) Obtain EU finding

5) Profit


(3 and 4 are classified, as they involve accidental leaking (no pun) of newly researched techniques for liquid explosives to potential terrorists. Or to government agencies, who are far more likely to use them, after all.)

excellent article that (apart from the last paragraph :eek: ) and confirms what I thought about this malarkey, that it wouldn't be that easy to carry out , however I do worry that the screening of baggage for explosive/s is done properly and by the latest kit. Do they use only those dodgy looking x-ray things interpreted by a minimum wager or do they use the hi-tech sniffing stuff thats supposed to be very good?, I`d strongly suspect that the deployment and operation of such measures is slapdash

Does anyone know how its done at say Heathrow?, you would expect that at an airport of such importance would have strong security?

<not paranoid at all because of impending trip to USA :eek:
