You found the special spray shop then? I have no idea what happened when you were following me, i went to change car, teleported back to you and waited for 10 minutes and you didn't appear, even on my map.

:(

I hope that gets sorted in the full game.

I know. My comp froze, rebooted, went back to the place couldn't find you. I'm on now if anyone wants to play. Having a big break from WoW :p

I'll be on at 6 in my firebird, cruising round at 70 :D

We should do a big OCUK meet up somewhere before the beta closes. imo the best place is the winding mountain roads in the central NW mountains. Great fun if your car handles well.

Either that or the long desert roads in the West.

Our normal meet place is at the north west point opposite the lighthouse. Problem is, when there are 8 people on screen at once. Fps drops to about 1-5 lol.

Me and Spunj messing around earlier on.

Cool stuff there mate :)

Got a bit of a request really, anyone who has a Trans Am in their collectin could ya grab me a screen shot please ? Thats one of the cars I'm most looking forward to driving in this game :)

About that message...

Does that mean online play won't work or the whole game won't actually work? Wondering if the SP function will still work and be able to do missions and buy cars etc.

I had a 57 mile police chase today in my F430, was frigging fantastic - sliding round bends, finding blockades over bridges and doing u-turns or J turns, really enjoyed it.

Proper entertainment it was! Loosing the police "warning" badges seems a bit haphazard though and I don't know if there's any specific way of doing it or wether to just keep running.

Sometimes I detoured massively off road, cutting across vast swathes of green to get to quieter roads as there seemed to be 3 police cars on every corner!

I've done similar in the E-Type too, with as much enjoyment :)

I always thought a good way to lose them would be to just off road. Ive been exploring the hills off road like something out of thunderbolt and lightfoot in my american muscle car and I think the police can only follow their gps.
The badges arent lost unless you clock up the odometer I think

The trans am is a firebird I think, Ive allready posted a video of that car in this thread.

The game will run single player after sunday, again thats allready been described in previous posts on this thread

I think its fromt he 360 version... dunno how accurate it is

Ok so the ford gt is modern but it wont let me goto todays american parts and it is in the same place as on this map :/

I should really get another car. caterham and weismann are both good but I like a car with flaws. Maybe I'll get a viper just to see how it compares to the GT4 version.

Do they have a Ruf yellow bird in this game

edit:
Found it, again the map was accurate. I hadnt driven down this street, my bad. However to increase the bhp by 100 costs the same price as the car, not really worth it

Just got this e-mail this morning:

Greeting TDU Beta Testers,

This email is to inform you of a bug in the Test Drive Unlimited uninstaller from the Open Beta Test. If you plan on uninstalling Test Drive Unlimited, please be sure to back-up (or move) any "loose" personal files you may have stored in the c:\ root directory on your computer.

There is an issue where the uninstaller may attempt to remove files in the c:\ root directory that are NOT in a folder or are NOT protected by windows.

- Files that are in folders on c:\ are NOT affected by this bug.

- Files that are protected by your windows operating system are also not affected.

Please be sure to take extra special care when uninstalling TDU.

If you have any questions at all regarding this issue, or would like more instructions on how to back-up your files, please email [email protected]

This bug is of course fixed in the retail version of TDU.

I'd also like to remind everyone that the Open Beta Test for Test Drive Unlimited will be ending tomorrow 2/4/07. Thanks again for all your help in the beta test for Test Drive Unlimited and we look forward to seeing you on the road in the future!

Best,
Beta Test Administrator
