Test Drive Unlimited Gameplay Thread

The Tantalus is regarded as the hardest single player track in the game. I have to admit I bombed my way through all the SP tracks and then hit a wall on the tantalus. I ended giving up in anger :(

I just finished all the races, time trials and speed challenges and can't say I even noticed this "Tantalus" business. :p

Now i've just gotta do all these pesky top models and hitchhikers, can't be bothered with them though, since there's no cash in it for me.

Currently got a steady cash flow coming in from selling modified (Saleen) Mustangs for $30,000 profit a piece (at that price they're still 30k cheaper than anyone else is selling them :/)

You know there is a much easier money making way right, witht he Saleen/A Class Stage 3 tuned car in the 180mph in Heavy Traffic?

/me snickers :p
He's done the tantalus but making money the hard way harharhar :D

Hmm.... Should i get this? Didn't like Forza 2 much, absoloutely LOVE PGR4.

Might have to hunt about for a few reviews on this....
Bear in mind that while the game is a great one, there's sod all to do except for cruising and racing. It's nigh on impossible to meet friends in-game (unless that has changed) because of the daft server configuration they've used, and houses are nothing more than a cosmetic moneysink to store cars in.

The realistic feel to the handling of vehicles is what stops me from selling the game. Every car feels different, handles differently and just feels enjoyable to drive.

Oh also just to let you guys know Atari have now closed of their games division. Infogrames (who own 51% or Atari stock) now have the licence for TDU

Not to mention you can buy outfits for your driver and customise their facial features. :p

Thou i wish the island have a internal clock or a real time clock with some night time driving thou.

Finally came through the post today, I've got a lot of work to do to get the same status that I have on the pc version. Runs a lot smoother on the 360 than my pc (which is far too old). One thing I have noticed is that there is no gps display in the car dashboard like the pc version? I just need to get myself a live sub now.

Depends on the car doesn't it? Sure I have seen GPS on the dashboard in-car, but been such a long time since I played it I could be mistaken.

Ah right, I did test drive a few cars to check didn't notice. Pretty sure the alfa has gps on the dashboard in the pc version, but to be honest it's not something i'm bothered about at all. Think i'm loving the game much more now that I can play it on the 360. Have to set up my own radio tracks though.

Anybody still palying this online? If so add me on live my name is the same as my forum name. Need some people to go driving with. Also can I join OcUK's club if there is one?
